All companies that survive by making profits view people as a wallet, I'm not saying EA doesn't deserve peoples dissatisfaction but they are not unique in the way they operate.

How a company views it and how consumers view it are certainly going to be different. One is making more money while the other is spending more, so of course one is going to have a more positive view, aka "broader sense" of it.
If they did that it would pretty much kill the " you still need the console" argument. We could defenitly start to see more and more retailers drop the console from their inventory.
MS isn't worried about image, believe it or not for all the outrage in the comment section of this site EA still made a ton of money off BF2 and that what its about for Microsoft profits, if they see it as profitable they'll do it regardless of image. That being said them acquiring EA is highly unlikely.
What Microsoft is worth and what the XBOX division has are two separate things. According to you Microsoft hasn't gone full bore into gaming, um ok. Seems theres hope on both sides of the argument.

Its been made quite clear in the various comment sections by the xbox loyal that exclusives dont matter so why is the acquisition of EA and the hope for EA's games being exclusive the thing that makes xbox a "dangerous competitor", wasn't the X supposed to make xbox a dangerous competitor? And of all companies to make Xbox a competitor, EA? This should be marked opinion piece.

Xbox games can be played on PC, I'm not sure why this is bothering you, this was made possible by Microsoft's play anywhere model. I get that you're trying to instigate an argument but you'll have to seek attention elsewhere.

lol, bold statement. Been gaming since Atari 2600, owned all kinds of consoles and a gaming PC, probably have played thousands of games and yet I learned today that I dont like video games, who knew.
I think what maybelovehate is saying is that in the grand scheme of things, there are more important issues in the world than rather you feel you got screwed by choosing to buy a game that has microtransactions/lootboxes in it. But I digress.
