They didn't cancel their events they're not bothering with E3. Nintendo doesn't hold traditional press conference at E3 either instead choosing to time their Nintendo Direct broadcast during the event, I dont see you concern trolling about that. Lets be honest though you're less wondering and more hoping it means something bad for Sony.
Sorry numbers of subscriptions doesn't win them anything. Sony isn't going to loose any sleep over how many subscriptions to Live xbox gets, besides throwing numbers like that around have already been tried by MS and it hasn't changed anything.
