I was lucky to update the new game I bought for my daughter on Xmas day and most of my games dont even need the network. But I can see how it ruined Christmas for people who switched on their new consoles or new games hoping to update them after the sh* started.

Come on. Enough with people exaggerating. PSN was down for a couple of days and then somehow disturbed for a few days and XBL was down for 1 day and very disturbed another day (some fanboys will say XBL was only down for 2 hours)
