Yup, but they sell the most consoles when the prices are like $199 or so, so by then they should both be making money.
An unnecessary comment for another unncesessary comment. A console price drop, no matter Wii/360/ or PS3 deserves the same amount of hype (if not more) than a game. But even then, I haven't seen anyone hyping this...they're just reporting various confirmations.
I was wondering why they wouldn't include it if it's all software based now anyways. Well that's one thing out the way...I give people a couple hours (if not minutes) to come up with something else to complain about now :-/.
fixed :-)
Steve Ballmer has already expressed dislike for the gaming division for not yet turning a profit since its inception. If they don't turn a profit (which they definitely won't if the crazy sales of Halo 3 are used to cover the cost of countering Sony's price drop again) who knows what their future will be like.
That's the funniest thing I've read all day, true or not.
Because it's not on his system of choice ;-)
Those other 20 hours better be full of awesome.
A troll trolling trolls is still a troll.
Microsoft wants a Halo 4,5,6...infinity, they don't care about Bungie. As long as they own the rights to the Halo franchise, they can probably dump Bungie and form some other dev studio to continue making them.
Can't get more "yeah, it's true" than that for the time being. Well...besides "yeah, it's true".
I wouldn't want to work on Halo for the rest of my life either. Microsoft let Bizarre go to someone else, so this CAN happen...even though it's retarded. I mean, why would you let your main money-maker go (even if they kept the Halo name - if those games aren't made by Bungie, they'll likely be shyte). Couldn't Bungie buy themselves off from Microsoft? I wonder if Microsoft would try to buy Epic after this..
lol
Awesome news. I hope this fixes a lot of their problems, though. It'd be nice to go a year without one failing.
I still think that they should have done something to keep those two games exclusive first. But if they're using that engine for other games, then it'll pay off in the long run. Who knows how long though... if those two games go multiplatform.
I think the PS3 is a great system, but if Sony is arrogant and stupid enough to believe that they don't need to do their best to keep those games exclusive, no one can be mad a Microsoft for trying. Instead of them buying that Motorstorm developer, Sony should have used that money to keep those games exclusive (if they're not). Will Motorstorm 2 outsell either of those games? Hell no.
Two things are certain here: I know that games for my PS3 are coming, and I know that my 360 will die (again). Isn't it weird that people are saying it's stupid to wait on games that are known to be coming while it's completely okay to wait on Xbox 360s with Falcon chips and extra heatsinks? Games don't mean a damn thing if I can't enjoy them for 4-6 weeks while the system is in for repairs. I don't see how you guys can turn a blind eye to that.
And no winner can be decided un...
Bungie and MS are sitting on mountains of money, I don't think an 8.9 matters to them or the people buying it. That 5.5 didn't matter to the thousands of people who bought Lair. Remember, don't be a douchebag. Just because they try to rain on PS3 news doesn't mean that you have to do the same thing.
You seem more leveled than other 360 enthusiasts.
What award did the 360 controller win (never heard of it winning one so I'd like to know, thanks)? And last time I checked, games at TGS were utilizing rumble :-X. Don't blame a crappy game on the controller, it's the developers fault. I'm sure the Wii has plenty of crappy games using the Wii-mote as well (maybe even more).
