Actually it was one of the easiest desicion I made in years. I remember a few years ago when I decided to buy a console, I spent many hours on the Internet comparing exclusives and graphical quality of multiplats. Eventually I decided to buy both consoles.
This generation I wasn't sure if I'm going to be a one console or two console gamer, but the desicion was easily made in May.
I play on consoles because I like Linux and hate DRM. Although I have a gaming PC, installing Windows on it and then being forced to use an intrusive client that I have to ask a permission every time I want to play a game just seems like a huge step backwards from my Arch Linux + PS360 setup.
Have you ever unpackaged an Apple product?
Didn't like the Uncharted series - the mercenary shooting simulator. Next gen I expect less comedy and more immersion.
Why can't the start shipping the consoles right away like the Oculus Rift did? Early adopters will have access to alpha and beta stages of some games and help test the software and hardware for official release.
People who don't like kinect are also disappointed because they have only one next gen console to choose from instead of two.

Last Guardian or it didn't happen.
I'll definitely buy a kinectless console for $400 or less. The exclusives look great so far and I really want to be a multi-platform gamer like I was this gen.
And the reason I prefer a kinectless SKU is the same reason kinect fans fear it so much - it ensures Microsoft will implement controls that don't require kinect, so people without it will not be blocked from the game for not using one.
Shoved down our throat with the next XBOX.
PS4 day one.
This generation was long enough. We have waited too long.
Greatness awaits.
If there is one thing where the XB1 wins hands down it is the box design. Looks so badass.
Give me a PS4 in an XB1 box and I'll pass out from epicness.
I don't care for a second screen. Truly immersive games allow me to dive into the game, merge with the controller and forget about everything around me.
Having to look back and forth between screens can only damage the immersion.
Is it multi-voltage at least? Now when the XB1 is region free it's important to know.
And people are saying "It's not a peripheral, it's part of the console" and similar PR shit.
A tumor, this is what it is.
After all the DRM nightmare of the past few months no way I'm giving up on physical.
This is why Elder Scrolls / Fallout games are so few and far between?
Some things are supposed to be on the internet and some things do not. Facebook and Youtube for example are supposed to be on the internet, while Diablo III and SimCity do not.
Maybe. But what's exciting about technology taken from you instead of technology given to you?
In 10 years both PC and consoles are going to get insanely powerful if a few mega-corporations will not succeed in concentrating all the computing power of the world in their hands.
For me it means nothing. I only get excited with technology I own myself, not with something hovering in the clouds that can fly away whenever they please.
A troll, but a honest troll.
