But that window will close since Sony will put out more good games even if slowly.
Yeah that is why I have said in the past that microsoft would have a small chance of beating sony if they actually tried but, they are strictly business first and only.
Unless these new games are ready to ship, I think it is too late for even that outcome.

Yep especially since the switch will be more appealing down the line just like ps4 has become. Although I still think It will be well short of ps4. Sony is dropping too many exclusives and the third party support. I say it will break 100 million though if its lifespan last approximately the same time frame as ps4.
It won't beat it within the gen unless next gen starts at the end of 2021 I say. But I think it definitely will if next gen starts in 2019 and support continues for atleast 2 years. So I would have to say it ultimately will short of some disaster.

If they were smart they could do it. For example: Make local traversing similar to racers with the game engine isolating his narrow trajectory and scaling and adjusting the engine dynamically when he changes directions. And for lightspeed/super duper speed: Just blurr the outer areas with a clear inner eye that is treadmilling the enviroment with a long draw distance.
