Must be hella exciting to play those 2008 games again. Don't know what you guys want with backwards compatibility, I don't even have time to play through all these new games... let alone the old stuff I already played through.
Horizon looked better than pretty much anything this year.
Still, seeing TLG in action somehow made me emotional, it's not only the fact that it's finally coming... but also because I just know that it's going to be an incredibly special experience just like Ico & SotC.
Too many comments here to read 'em all but I find it funny how Microsoft boys are coming out now when they haven't had anything to brag about during the last 6 months.
MS blows their complete load during the holidays when the mass of other AAA games is being released while Sony tries to release games throughout the whole year and even delays games if they don't meet the holiday release window. You can argue all you want but only one of these approaches is the right one f...
Damn this is like a dream come true, I can't believe it's happening. Great to see Sony supporting it so heavily as well, they know what gamers are asking for.
Killzone 2 was incredible in that department, I still remember my reaction when playing it for the first time. Horizon already impressed me just as much, these guys are seriously talented.
Am I the only one who couldn't care less about backwards compatibilty? I sold my last gen consoles a few weeks before the new consoles launched and haven't looked back since. I'm more than busy enough with the new stuff already.
Funny how they call a much weaker games lineup "winning" ;D
I'd be pretty jealous of all the PS4 exclusives if I only had a Xbox, even Square Enix announced some at their conference. E3 is about games, not stuff you could announce via blogposts like a new OS or controller.
Any true gamer wouldn't care as much about a new OS, a new controller or backwards compatibility as he would about new game announcements from the caliber of Shenmue, FF7 Remake, TLG or Horizon. Only a pair of fanboy glasses could get you freak out about gimmicks instead of games.
I loved the previous Gears but my expectations for the first next-gen entry were a bit higher tbh. I'll still play it with friends but I'm not sure whether "Been there done that in 1080p" can keep me interested for too long. Horizon is a prime example of proper videogame evolution.
Hahaha where did you see a tie? Priceless, classic Septic.
Well definitely better than Halo, CoD, Destiny and all these other shooters if you ask me. Real next-gen stuff.
Finally a shooter that gets me excited again :D
Looks awesome, not much to complain as long as there's enough content and it runs stable.
MS had a really good conference but I would be surprised if Sony can't top that. The Last Gurdian, Gran Turismo 7 or God Of War 4 alone would be huge and those are just the likely ones. I'm especially curios to see what Guerilla, Bend, Quantic Dream and Media Molecule are working on.
Some IP diversity wouldn't hurt them, you pretty much know exactly what their first party is working on... I prefer to be surprised by game announcements.
I hate that they're still wasting their time on a free to play MMORPG instead of a proper single player KOTOR which could be truly amazing with today's technology. And yes I've played SW:TOR, even before it went F2P.
If you knew what MGS is all about you wouldn't answer this with such a clear yes. I have yet to encounter a universe filled with so many complex stories and subtle hints.
Of course anyone will be able to enjoy MGS5 but I'm willing to bet that those with no MGS knowledge will miss many, many, many details in Kojima's (possibly last) masterpiece.
Looks pretty good, can't complain yet but have to play it myself. Will be interesting to see whether PES can be stronger than FIFA for another year, PES15 was amazing.
Smells like fake.

Just your ordinary bunch of wanna-be snobs. Sad to see that these poor victims of capitalism even exist.
Yes I'd say it's time for the Souls games to try out a fully open world. Of course not as open as The Witcher or Skyrim but something in the direction of Shadow Of Mordor could fit nicely. Still I'll take whatever they're releasing as the Souls series comes closest to my definition of the perfect game.
