TR, MGS and FF7 were exclusive because at that time only the PS1 offered the capabilities needed to run these games, their creators decided to make them exclusive.
Timed exclusivity is not better than full exclusivity simply because full exclusivity means that the game wouldn't have existed without the funding of the platform holder. If you pay for development you certainly don't want the game on your compe...
You're paying money to prevent the release on other platforms for a set amount of time, I will never understand how this can be a good thing. I'd rather call it "aggressive marketing" and hope that this not become a trend.
Article is still clickbait though. Comparing a game that was in development for 5+ years with one that was more or less "rushed out" in 2 years is kinda dumb. Of course GTAT5 has a more 'alive' world (it's the foundation of this series) but still I can imagine that Infamous will look better graphically than the GTA Remaster on PS4.

No upcoming game, not even Witcher 3 or Uncharted 4 comes close to a nextgen Souls successor (that looks THIS good) for me. I just hope the mechanics are as deep and complex as they were in Demon's Souls, it was so much fun discovering this game (with no guides at that time since it was completely new for everyone).
^We don't care what counts for you as "exclusive", exclusive is exclusive. There are people who enjoy indies just as much as Knack or PvZ so excluding these games for the sake of stupid list wars is as bitchy as you can get. PS4 sold 10 million without any true "next-gen" game, it's to be expected that sales continue at that pace in the next few months. With Destiny and the holiday season approaching 15 million are easily achieveable for the end of this year.
@Above: I see, I only watched the gameplay but I didn't know about these details. Guess it's ambitious after all but still what I've seen so far hasn't impressed me enough to be excited about it. But it seems like there is much more to it than what they've shown so far, I hope they can impress me next time.

I hate this company, really. Not just out of principle or because it's cool but because they disappointed me so many times in the last 10 years... that's why this hate is real and that's why I stopped supporting them since BF4. Dragon Age might be the best game ever made but I'm still buying it used, maybe even on Day1 and I certainly won't buy any "extra content" to support this kind of greed.

Hmm ambitious... have you played Max Payne? In the Gamescom demo I haven't seen much more than what I've seen in Max Payne more than 10 years ago so I can't agree with you on that.
I can't stand these people in real life, those are the ones who only watch football when it's world cup or champions league... they don't love the sport, they love the event. People who actually played football themselves are mostly PES players because it's simply the better simulation with more emphasis on tactic and skill. Standard PES games are 10mins long, in FIFA it's usually just 6. In PES, I always think about my strategy and what substitutions I should make, in FIF...
It's luck, from my ca. 40 Rifts I landed about 4 times in it. The TLOU dungeon is by far the hardest because of the spores that deal huge amounts of damage.
