Yea, this looks like it has potential, but needs some serious polishing and refinement. It looks like a student project right now, not really a professional project. Hopefully this is just really early progress and it will come together more over time. I like where it's going though!

Go for it! I always wait for the seasons to be complete before I play them, but I've enjoyed them a lot. More so than the Walking Dead show sometimes. The graphical style and animation could be better, but the writing and acting are pretty good.
Hopefully they revamp the art for Season 3, they are starting to look pretty dated. Don't let that stop you from playing though. They really are good.
Yea, I actually considered applying for this studio a few years ago. I moved to Portugal from the States and was looking for game studios to work with in the Iberian Peninsula area. I never did, but still pretty sad to hear.
Golden Abyss aside, newcomers to the series should play through the original series. Uncharted 4's conflict between Nathan and Elena (the lying, the heartbreak, etc) will have more emotional resonance if you understand the evolution of their relationship. Not just that, but also the story of Nathan growing up on the street, his mentoring from Sully. It will all play into the new story.
edit- I still enjoyed Golden Abyss, but it just isn't important to the series in...
So tempted to pick up Gravity Rush for that price! Kind of hesitant though, only because I just threw down 79.99 on my Uncharted 4 Deluxe preorder yesterday. :P

@EDMIX It's not a terrible game mechanics-wise, I played enough hours of the beta to know this. It's just a hollow and shallow game. I'll wait for it to be complete.
Still haven't picked up Battlefront. I swore at launch I wouldn't pick it up until ALL DLC was released with the base game for less than $30, and I've stayed true to my word. I freakin' love Star Wars, but the launch version of Battlefront was a joke and a slap in the face to fans of the original Battlefront games.
