Good choice. With the new controller, it might be the best ME3 experience.
Yep. Fairly certain you're right. :-)
I find it funny that we now label killing "refreshing" at all.
Just saying.
In regards to hardware, yes. Confidentiality is a hindrance there.
But software? They can discuss all they like.
It's been pretty selective, but the public beta is fantastic news. I think I can wait until then.
The announcement mentions digital gaming - that's huge. EA moving into what's most likely cloud based gaming is an interesting, and potentially highly profitable, move for the company.
I should have picked my words more carefully... definitely was kidding.
Versus XIII should be a 2-d sprite fighter.
How right you are. But the September 12th announcement is right around the corner.
Who knows? Maybe Final Fantasy Versus XIII is the conclusion of the Lightning saga. A guy can dream.
I don't think British gaming has made an impact beyond its genre.
If the Olympics were to go back to Japan (perhaps the country most worthy of including an homage to gaming), I don't think they would honor the gaming industry so much as they would note the unique culture that produces and purchases those games. Besides, even its greatest achievement, Zelda, owes its creation to the classic adventure trope found in literature. :-)
Man, I love that engine, but Square-Enix's Luminous engine keeps distracting me from this generation.
True, but it could be more as well. It's just a curious move to publicly back the project and to post an announcement about it. Final Fantasy III is already available nearly everywhere else, so why the fuss?
It's an interesting development, regardless of where you stand on the OUYA debate.
A 2D-based sprite fighter, featuring all of our favorite Final Fantasy characters?
You know, that's not such a bad idea...
Disagree. Tekken 6 is a popular fighting game, but nowhere near as popular as other genre leading titles. The author's implying other titles have come close to Tekken in the fighting genre, which says something about its lack of sheer dominance now.
I don't know that the writer is trying to hype it so much as he's sharing his thoughts. It's cheap to develop games on it, and he even says it's tentative at best with the system.
Still - the future of it is exciting, and that has to count for something.
Gears of War light?
Horribly sad day. Vancouver Rockstar was maybe the best studio the company had - hope all these people are able to find work elsewhere.
One would hope so, but I think Kingdom Hearts is getting more coverage because of the new 3DS game coming out. Final Fantasy's turn is coming.
In Final Fantasy XII? Absolutely. But XII was a great game, and I think they've learned some lessons from trying to replicate Modern Warfare (flashy action, narrow corridors, linear progression) in RPG form this go-around.
Such a little touch, but it's neat.
Interestingly enough, some people are willing to try new things.
