Some people, myself included just could not get into the game.
The story was to haphazard, with characters that just felt... Flat, and the onlines inability to get heists (Bragging point from the trailer) really killed it for me, needing Car Insurance was stupid, one of GTA's best things is just recklessly driving around but they made that bothersome online, and it has gamings worst Character Creator ever designed...
That said I loved the driving mechanic...
Fetch was my favorite character, and it felt like she could have carried the game better as a lead. At least to me.

He stated that the quality on the Vita is "acceptable for a portable game" but it has been compressed, but he would not do that to the home console version of the game.

And Xblaze is just because of the name and after seeing the Chrono Phantasma, I am thinking it ties in more them I previously thought.
No real need. Sony is getting pretty good with their sales as well. Not on part with Steam yet, but still doing pretty good.
I got Tales of Xillia and Crysis 3 for $15 on their 14 for 14 sale... and I think the MGSHD collection is going for $10 for all three games for easter.
Not to mention the PS+ games.
Chrono Phantasma was to come to Xbox, only reason they didn't do it was size (game is 11gigs due to the 30 hour story.) and they didn't want to compress it.

Hardcore on DS2 was fun. I am very proud of that Platinum! Also Resonance of Fate is really harsh. And Metal Gear Rising is insane.
Sony has exclusive content for the game, that normally comes with a deal of advertising it on PS4 first, happened allot with the 360 as well.

I will admit that, while core gameplay in normally better and deeper there is often less stuff that is humanly achievable. Looking at you PSO and the Psycho Wand!
For those who don't know, the Psycho Wand was from an enemy that only appeared about 5 times per dungeon.

Because, on average Eastern devs are more creative and flashy with their gameplay and often times have better core design. Their tech just fell short for a while in the PS3/360 era.
Ground Zeroes and BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma are my top games.
Dark Souls 2 and I:SS both are good. But not as good as their previous installment.
I beat it but never purchased it. Didn't have a job at the time. Since I do now I am gonna get it now.
