Devil May Cry... Ninja Theory...
Horrible idea.
Freeze trap like WoW... Well WoW's freeze trap is like the CAST's freeze trap from PSO.
>.>
Why did this guys start comparing to WoW so much later in the article?
No game made within the last 5 years or is already popular needs one, for underground or forgotten titles like DC, then by all means. But rebooting Guitar Hero is like rebooting CoD. It is needless.
Soooo... We have to reboot Guitar Hero now?
Wow, what the f*ck is going on with the industry anymore?
STOP REBOOTING GAMES!!!
Well, it was playable at E3, why would it not be here?
Slow damn week for game journalism.
Ahhh well, this article made me laugh. Good going!
I hope the next gen is less middle ware too. Companies need their own engines to work with.
But for small studios who cannot make an entire engine, the UDK is great. I have it, and it works good.
60 x 1 million is NOT what the developers see, they do not see get the full about of the game sold.
$60 is what you pay for a game, what about what wal-mart pays for the game?
Game studio gets factory to make the disk, best buy / gamestop / ect buys the game from the factory, then they sell it for $60. So when you buy that $60 game you are not giving $60 to the game company. You do the math.
Also, PC's have to stay cheap because piracy is...
You are paying $60 because the cost of making a game has gone a a massive amount.
Name a PS2 game that costed a studio 80 million USD to develop? That is what we are paying more for, there is a price to pay for better tech and graphics. And it does come out of our wallet.
Even low budget games this generation are costing more then some high budget games last time. Because they have to look better to stand in the market, need more play testing, and time in the...
Soooo... When EA did it, it was a business move? When Mortal Kombat did it, no one noticed.
But when Sony does it, it's cheap? I swear...
These companies view used game sales as bad as piracy, so yes they are going to try to make money off of their multi million dollar investment.
Do I like the pass system? I am neutral, I buy all the games new anyways. But I can see why they are using it because of lost profit.
Edit: I ...
Truthfully, the Japanese pretty boy look is not being used as much anymore.
I like Uncharted's art as well. Because where as Drake had a normal design, like you said he was supposed to, it does work for the story.
I don't understand why Mass Effect which is a create a character thing, does not give us much to work with to make him / her our own.
Yeah, because male designs are sooooo great anymore.
You are either a shot brown haired guy, see: Mass Effect, Uncharted, Gears of War, Any Military shooter.
Or some guy he eat steroids as a main course, see: Gears of War, Darksiders, God of War, World of Warcraft.
Male designs are not all that creative either. We can be summed up on average in those two categories.
And for everyone else, that does not mean I hate those games...
Can I have about... 100k? I be good with that! >.> What?
I remember when Monster Hunter and Syphon Filter got shut down. I played them all the time......... But no one else really did, just a small group of about 500 players, which in truth is not enough to keeps a server alive.
Was I upset? Yes, I still miss the games. But I can see why they did it.
Yep. and My connection seems to crash a good bit.
Major game release date *Net crashes*
That would get old the first time it happened, and I know my luck!
I have a 250gig cap on my internet. And some games are running 15gigs a game... No thanks. I want my disk.
!
I still own the SNES cartridge for Secret of Evermore!
SE has so many games they could work with and they, for whatever reason, refuse to do so.
I do not understand why SE is doing this. It is bad business to launch an 8 year old MMO when you are trying to fix the new one!
And btw, good list of games there! But I would add Bushido Blade.
And not allot of the games I have really played in the last year have been on PC.
The PC gaming market is not as diverse as the console one.
