Between Steam and PS4 the game sold over a million. Those mofos at Hello Games are rich now. Because even thought Sony will take a big cut from the PS4 version they self-published on Steam, so all the profit they made there goes straight to their pocket.

The CPU in the PS4 is even weaker than an i3 using the super old Sandy Bridge microarchitecture. It has been proven time and time again by Digital Foundry.
@LordMaim
Notice how empty and lifeless that place it. Notice the level design and the carefully placed mountains covering the distance. There are no animals running around. It's just an empty playground.
You're going off a tangent dude.
The point of the article is not comparing ratios between price and performance but how games would look running on a Pro.
But their build has a much stronger CPU and a slightly stronger GPU too, so it is pointless.
@AngelicIceDiamond
It's good that one game does it but what about the rest? The Xbone even has games at 720p for god's sake. But at the end of the day the grand majority of its games aren't 1080p like on PS4 where the majority are.

Battle system in FF12 wasn't real time tho. You could move around but you still had a wait period before being allowed to do any action.
Definitely not my cup of tea. Have never liked any Trico game to be honest, although I do admit that fighting the Collossus was epic but that's it.
@ninjazfistz, never thought about it like that but that'd be kinda smart.
I'm expecting it to be pretty cheap since rumor has it that it hardly comes close to the Xbone performance wise.
Pretty much. That CPU they are using is way too powerful, don't expect this comparison to be very close to reality.The CPU in the PS4 is only 1/4 compared to that and the GPU they are using a slightly more powerful too.
I think they would if they could but truth is that the Pro's still bottlenecked by its CPU. Even by lowering resolution and graphic settings Rise of Tomb Raider can't still hit 60fps, it's mostly 45fps at the moment unless some miracle happen before its final release.
In a full year millions of consoles can be sold and there's price reduction too. And if the difference between PS4 and Pro is only "marginal" then imagine the difference between Pro and Scorpio which is even less... There is no amount of marketing that will make Scorpio sell better over a less than marginal edge on performance at the cost of a potentially higher price tag.
I think this was a very poorly thought blog entry.
If Scorpio launched today it'd cost like $600+. By next year Polaris GPU's should be cheaper (and the rest of the components too) and thus be able to achieve a more appealing price point. I'm expecting like $500.
It's not like the console can't do 60fps, any console can. Even the PS1 could! The problem is that devs prefer to use the resources to maximize eye-candy rather than frame-rate.
On PC every game runs 60fps because you can purchase hardware that is above of what the game requires, so with the extra resources the user can push more frames or lower graphical settings to achieve it. But these are options not present on consoles since it's inherently a closed platfor...
Way to go with the selective reading champ.
Because the CPU is too weak? Since Sony decided to go with bigger GPU on the Pro and leave the rest the same the only way way to do 60fps now is for devs to become GPgpu geniuses and start off-loading everything they can to the GPU (which they are already doing) and then some more. And even then I don't think it'd be enough since they can't throw everything at the GPU.
At this point the only way to achieve 60fps across the board would be by scaling back on grap...
Games might still look and run better on PS4 but who cares about that? Nobody buy consoles to play games. People only buy consoles to watch bluray and stream movies at 4k.
Delays, online price hike, underwhelming Pro presentation, lack of MOD support... The hate is understandable. Although the Xbone is not much better, which is why I laugh every time I see someone mad at Sony saying they are jumping ship to a console that is just as bad or maybe worse... Seriously, if you truly want change then you go PC!
All I need is a bit of weed to feel like I'm in the game.
