It's because the new system update
(5.0) is allowing streamers to stream in 1080p/60fps from the PS4 Pro.
I'm not clicking this click bait articles though because of the stupid thumbnail and I hate their ads anyways.
Gaming is a hobby and this is a forum. We don't need a 5 paragraph essay and references to express an opinion.
The Kotaku article is a good read if you would like to know more about game development though.
It was for sell by Amazon for 299.99 but it was for a little less than 9 minutes from other articles I read.
#babadivad Funny you mention this made up nonsense when techpowerup just performed i5's vs i7 benchmarks to show threads don't matter. Hyperthreading on 4 core CPUs made performance worse.
There was a steelbook edition announced the day it was announced. GameStop only which sucks. Hopefully Best Buy will make this game one where you just get a free steelbook with the standard edition of the game.
It's actually more than a year since the Taken King came out in 2015. So 2 years to be in fact which is actually worse than year 1. And now they are coming out when the game is irrelevant.
@BiggerBoss Love your anecdotal evidence that doesn't mean anything. Just because your 1-2 friends on Xbox didn't complain about a couple exotics (which happens to be strikes, multiplayer maps, armor sets, and exotics) doesn't mean it isn't an awful practice.
Sure we will all take your word for it though that you and your friends represent the entire player base.
I counted 13 switches on the shelf on Sunday night around 6:30 at my local best buy. I live in a town with w population over 300k so I feel like around here it isn't too bad to find.
Couldn't find any other first post on this article as blatantly dumb as this one or yours. Doesn't matter what type of fanboy the comments are still stupid and childish.
Another troll posting comments that have nothing to do with the content of the video/article.
This is arguably the most embarrassing fanboy post I've seen on N4G and this site is loaded with intolerable fanboy garbage.
No joke. John Carmack himself basically said you would have to have twice the GPU power to get similar performance on a PC. A 10-12 teraflop gpu is costing more than the entire Scorpio or sorry Xbox one X.
Even though teraflops isn't a great measurement it's a pretty decent generalization of performance predictio. The optimization in a console just can't be matched by a PC.
Yeah I don't see how this is any different from an independent study showing a rare post market side effect and then the big pharmaceutical company denying the data.
You guys wouldn't dare defend Merck or Pfizer on something similar. Difference here is Microsoft can lie and not release their own data without consequences. Also keeps all the fanboys arguing over BC.
Data is data and if it keeps people talking about their product then in the end th...
@Petebloodyonion Again someone who doesn't understand technology. It's a 1080p resolution but it's for two images one for each eye. So splitting the screen in half one for each eye the PS4 has to output two 960x1080 images.
No way the PS4 pro is capable of rendering two images at a higher resolution of 2k and 4k with frames high enough for VR. It isn't even able to play most regular games in those resolutions.
@darthv72 VR is not just akin to another display it's completely different. VR requires frame rates as high as 90 fps in order to reduce nausea and create an image that's immersive. Almost all console games are 30 fps with some hitting the 60 fps mark which is nowhere near high enough for VR.
Your comment seems to show your minimal knowledge in tech.
If you look at the minimum specs for VR on PC they are ridiculous. Any newer headset would require...
Definitely in PSVR I notice the improvements. I have a regular PS4 in my living room and my Pro is in my man cave but I bring the PSVR out to show people in the front room. Farpoint is so much better on Pro I don't like showing it off on the regular PS4.
But in regular games I find it disappointing that they don't use the power all that much. Or at least the games I own don't seem to do much. I also have a 4k HDR TV in the front room and a 4K 60fps ViewSonic mon...
Yeah if they used me in their research I have downloaded just about every free 360 game on games with gold and still haven't played any. I put in the Halo Reach disc the day BC was announced played for 30 minutes and thought I'll play my newer games.
It's nice to have though but not for everyone.
I like your time frame far better than 2018.
But I could see sooner if the companies stick with AMD and keep backwards compatibility so that when you upgrade to PS5 you can still play all the games still in development for PS4.
Will be interesting if console manufactures can use Apple's method of iterative hardware so that we never leave games behind and those that want new high end machines have something new to buy every 2-3 years.
The vapor chamber cooling technique isn't going to be the reason the Scorpio is expensive. Vapor chamber on graphics cards have been around since the Radeon HD 3870.
I just did a quick price check on Newegg and graphics cards with vapor chamber cooling are only 10-20$ more than their reference cards.
It will be expensive because of the tech inside and the engineers they have to pay to make the chip possible.
No this is relevant although the title doesn't explain why. When update 5.0 drops for PS4, it will allow the Pro to stream in 1080p/60fps something that isn't available on regular PS4 or any other console at the moment.
The thumbnail though is ridiculous and pointless. The article is also pretty terrible. It's basically click bait so all you need to know is the PS4 Pro will have higher bit rate streaming which is always good.
