Capcom Corporate Officer and VP of Strategic Planning and BIZ Dev, Christian Svensson, issued two separate comments concerning the rumored “exclusive MS timed release” on the official Capcom blog which confirm my prediction and hopefully debunk the exclusive release rumor.
The first comment was made on Jun 18, 2008 - 11:13PM stating:
“The assertion is false. RE5 is a multiplatform release that fits with our oft-stated crossplatform strategy.”

I tried it and the file is being downloaded directly from Blizzard's servers which means they must have not protected the folder it is being pulled from.
The only part that sucks is that the private server he links is getting slammed with traffic now so you may need to keep trying or find another that supports the alpha client.

I wonder how much free time these character modelers have, because if this was not done for the actual game they are either very good and extremely fast at modeling or just very bored and have lots of free time on their hands.
Anyone out there ever work in a 3D program and model anything like this?
