I agree. Gears 2 was not near as good as Gears 1 online. Yeah, gears 1 had glitches and host shotgun but it was so fun.

There's no secret to get kids to play games. Getting to exercise, that's a different story.
No need for the guide. It's the first gym and it's easy. Make sure to get your pansear/pansage/panpour from the guy first. That will help in your battle.
I haven't played pokemon since crystal versio. And I was in 6th grade. I'm now 22 and bought black version just for kicks. I ended up sitting in my room 9 hours straight, without moving or without eating and I sat and played. I feel ashamed.

Idk. You have to look at when I played them. Wasn't resistance 1 a launch title in 2006? I think that's why I can't get into it. I'm sure when it released it was quite good but 5 years later it doesn't seem to hold up. I actually highly disliked R1. I'm having a decent experience with R2, so in my mind R2 is better.
