The main focus seemed to be on PS consoles. N64, Gamecube, and Wii didn't get the same attention FF got on PS, thus, making it a PS franchise. Why else was everyone surprised to see FF come to Xbox? What about MGS come to Xbox? Both series started on a Nintendo platform and even came to consoles like Xbox and Gamecube - I think it's because of the success. Games like MGS and FF are PS franchises because they are more successful and popular on PS. Just my opinion.

When there's a multiplat game that looks worse on PS3, I'm sure they'll be able to see the difference and they'll go running around making sure everyone and their mother knows it. I know for a fact people wouldn't be saying "oh, i barely see a difference" if it looked better on 360.
And about the article itself, I think graphics are just a bonus for FF games. Lets be honest, graphics won't fix some of the bigger issues with this game.
But I don't it would work if they entered the console gaming. Lol, could you imagine being charged for firmware updates?

After showing those screens, I was expecting a gameplay trailer.

GOWIII looks epic! This is a good trade-in value, especially since I brought MW2 for $20.
I prefer having the disc for most of my games too. Some PC games like UT3 and Half-Life 2 give you the best of both worlds. You install the game with the disc and you can play it off the HDD without the disc once it's installed.
It just keeps getting better though.

It seems like the fat PS3s are the only PS3s having this issue. Or some are while others aren't? I wonder what the hell happened.

If there's one format that isn't the future, it sure as hell is DVD.
PS3 proves itself as being the future proof console by supporting both Blu-ray and DD. Honestly, how could they bash Blu-ray when they are using DVDs for their biggest games? It doesn't make much sense.
