Holy shit smokehouse very well said. The lack of foresight and prescience has become all too common unfortunately. The gaming industry is relatively unregulated and although not perfect, has conducted itself relatively well. I too despise the loot box, but relying on the morals of politicians to protect us from ourselves is foolish.

Comparing apples to oranges. Pro version is checkerboard with missing detail and worse lighting. They both still look very good but in no universe is a less capable system going to outperform a more capable system running the exact same content. This is the same reason OG PS4 outperforms OG XO.
