lol you must not be familiar with how kojima announces games. This is VERY LATE for him to be announcing a game compared to how he usually does it if that release date turns out true. MGS4 was announced in 2005 and it didn't come out till 2008. This announcement however and release seems fairly normal cycle

Even so, there is a difference between a publisher releasing multiple shooter titles and a publisher releasing the exact same franchise each and every year for the past 6 years. 2007-2012 a COD game has released every year. The titles you mentioned are not all BF titles. Activision is going to cause franchise fatigue just like guitar hero. Milk the same franchise each and every year. You can't really compare BF and MOH to BO and Modern Warfare because they are both Call of Duty titles. BF...

FACT: If ps3 and 360 launched at the same time. 360 would be in last place. And btw if ps3 keeps closing the gap 360 may well end up in last place when it's all said and done. Based on their conference 360 is winding down while ps3 showed off some nice exclusives.
So basically the XBOX people are saying it is worth paying 60 dollars a year for party chat and voice messages. Because voice messages are that important. lol. Yeah I am pretty pumped for it! Gamespot always gave me trouble streaming it so I'll either be using G4 or the ps3 stream. It'll be streamed on the PS Blog too
Sony confirmed on the blog it will be accessible through the xmb. There will be a special icon in the "whats new" section on the xmb for everyone to watch live on ps3...or you can just use home. Or watch it on g4...or watch it on the thousand websites that will be broadcasting it.
Honestly an announcement approximately a year before release seems fair to me. Time to build excitement for the game. Much more than a year and I would agree. A year is fair though
