DL a N64 emulator and check it out. It'll look better than the xbox 360 DL version for sure, what with all the buffers and such. Was it good? I don't like FPS really.
What I find funny is that people believe RARE has all these viable IP's laying around. What games do they have under their belts? They don't own half of them.

I don't hate it. I actually think the prospect is brilliant and cutting edge, I just think they need to do away with the 1950's style glasses as a means ot bring it to us. The TV's that are built in with it are going to cost 8 to 10 grand I'd venture to say. After just spending 3 grand on a Bravia last year... I probably won't be jumping into the mix of 3-d gaming for a bit.
Sadly it looks better than the PS3 and xbox 360 version. As in more fun.
The mere fact they tried to say it was Uncharted meets the Rocketeer is absolute insanity. It sucks too hard to be either and or. The Rocketeer is actually cool, unlike Dark Void, & Uncharted is the apex of all action adventure games. Tough shoes to fill.
It's one of those games you want to like but you know deep down as much as you try to defend it you're building a case for the lost cause pile. Dark Void, to me, looked amazing on paper and when first shown... I slowly grew more leary of it and then I played it. I knew it wasn't going to replace my burning for a true Rocketeer style game. Maybe we'll never get one and in the meantime this one isn't filling any "VOID".
I respect that... I hate how every game has to be a trilogy or a franchise. Let things go and let things ride. The Resident Evil series would have been absolute king had it stopped at RE3. Silent Hill more so. 1,2 and 3 were amazing games. You tack on 3 more after that and you've gotten stale.
I hate all these 3's and 4's and 6's I'm seeing anymore. Final Fantasy 13?? doesn't sound so final to me. Give me one really good game and get out. Move on to something new next time...
I think flagship games, like Mass Effect 2, are subject to favortisim because of the developers relationship and the publishers relationship with "Said" mag. This isn't just an OXM or PSM or OPSM thing, either. This is a realistic thing.
I don't think I've played a 9+ game, Uncharted 1 and 2 aside, this generation. I simply haven't. And Uncharted 1 and 2 are only 9.5 and 10's to me because of story, pace and interaction. It actually delievers on what it's suppose...
