MGS4 is getting a tropy patch... I know of 60 trophies already. Will the patch be tomorrow or this month? Probably not... I say in May or June. Trust me... 60 trophies, remember that number.
I was pretty sure it had to do with their premium PSN service... That whole bit also will encompass Ps2 games on the store and backwards b/c. But MGS4 is set to get some 60 trophies added via patch soon too.

Alright, this is the run down.
1st off... the game boots in 720P no matter what. It won't force into 1080P, even. That is my standard check. I don't have any other settings checked for the system other than 1080P. I know... & I do agree with that Penny, I do. I think the Ps3 offers something for absolutley everyone... This game falls into that catagory of not being for everyone and I'm one of those people. I was fortunate enough to get a copy of it, which I'll no doubt pass along today or tomorrow on ebay. But the thing people don't understand about the game is it is limiting. It perlplexes you with a weight of options and commands at any 1 given time and redirects your attention to these tiny diversions...
GTP isn't a full GT game... It was a side game and everyone knows that. I'm talking full on code. They even said GTP was GT4 with some redone textures and Ps3 code. GT4 was the last GT game and that was many years ago.
Sad that out of 35 million Ps3 owners in the world only 3 million adopted this game. I know the side of the coin you all and the industry leaders don't look at are rentals, and that should change, but of merit... Uncharted 2 has been registered on over 9 million Ps3's in the world. That means sync data of Tropy support.

It just didn't live up to the hype... I can't believe they can defend the value of the game past a play thru. It's a novel experience. A game you'd play one time and that's it. Maybe not even that. Heavy Rain suffers from terrible gameplay, what little is here. Terrible misdirections. Bad Voice acting. Contrived plot lines used in every Argento movie past the 80's. It's just a ball of average.

Hell, they've only been working on it for thirty years now. Seriously, the last GT game released when? 5 years ago? Please. This game should be hyper realistic by now.
Reach looks good, for a FPS and a Halo game. It does... But it doesn't look better than Killzone 2 and it certainly, if you wanna compare texture quality and detail, doesn't compete with Uncharted 2 or God of War III. It just doesn't...
Bout time... Not that i was ever gonna buy it anyways, being sega and being a movie property kinda sealed that deal. But it'd be nice to have a demo you cna gauge on a network that's reliable. Sadly we seldom get that from the PSN.

MGS4... This was known some time ago, I thought.
A lot of big games out of the gate for Microsoft but they might gas out towards the end... Also, Helix Filter is rumored to rear its head on the Sony end soon. We were shown pics of it a little over a year ago before we "controversially" shut out site down and it looked really good. Open world, go anywhere gameplay set up in an online world where you took on new missions by going online and taking out contracts.

You know, there is some truth to this because 3 walmarts in my city and 2 targets are sold out of Ps3's as we speak. My brother went to buy one last week and couldn't find one. He was gonna buy a used one at Gamestop but I advised against it... Later that day a shipment came in and he was able to get one from Gamestop.
nothing doin' for me, that's for sure... Got the Heavy Rain demo last week, it blew then and it'd blow again if I let it. Luckily I won't. Other than that, the usual list of vids that infect these updates to make it look like they are content heavy updates to the PSN, are all in place.
Lame as hell, Sony. For once i don't know what I'd do if we were given some xbox live treatment on a weekly update. They get content all the time. Good content at that.

A big game like Mass Effect, which was stolen left and right on the Pc, comes out for the xbox 360 and it can only muster up a 50,000 console advantage to the PS3? That's not good. More so when Sony doesn't really care about region to region sales and looks at their bottom line... That bottom line being World Wide sales. The same world wide sales that says "Sony is number crunching the xbox 360" ... Sad but true Greenberg.
I don't think Sony really cares about the past glories of what made the Ps2 what it was. Why? Because those games made the Ps2 what it was... Not the Ps3. The Ps3 needs new experiences to carve its own path and Sony knows that. Why live off past glories when you can have those familiar franchises yet use the money you might've spent on those elswhere? Sony isn't getting bullied. They're playing chess and winning.
