The guy in the video is explaining WHY it is different from the rest.
Is it enough for considering the whole game as different from the others games ?
If FFXV adds more unique features , the answer will clearly be yes.
They wont , but they ll put an alternative demo (the TGS 2014 demo).
So you can still try out the gameplay but not the open world.
FF type 0 is a realy good game and has alot of links whit FF XV (like the same director etc ... ),if you financialy can : give it a try.

they said it was breath-taking and gave a 5/5 , the gameplay is getting close from perfect .

Yes it is a true RPG but ...
There isn't a weapon/equipment crafting system .
But you can enhance your character directly (even if it is hard and expensive to do ) so you wont miss equipment crafting.
And the you can craft magic (they are in a magic school),and there is a lot of different and interesting spells so you wont miss weapon crafting.

FFXV doesn't look like to be that far in the future.
Basically when you program a game or an application , it is made so every important part are independent between each other ,if they want to add an online feature/mode , it is as hard as to add a DLC.
They dont need to start the game development from 0 or to lose valuable data.
Noctis and his summons are OP enough .
If they made a new FF dissidia Noctis would rape everyone(except sephiroth) .
