Why is there still the general consensus that there is no market for adult games? The number of adult gamers is probably more than younger gamers.

Halo franchise = 2 very proven titles, with HUGE fanbase. Actually fanbase is probably unrivaled. Also a MP Beta that was also a great sucess (in terms of gameplay, everyone was b1tching about graphics).
Killzone franchise- 1 previous title of mediocre caliber. May have been limited by PS2 hardware, but that doesn't change the fact that Guerilla is still an unproven developer, and we are yet to see if they can turn out a polished game.
