No Harry is right. I'm a video compositor. And you can clearly see how it's from 2 different video sources (One of him dancing/kicking and one of the cat walking into the room). You cut out the video source that you want to place on top of the background shot - of course both shots have to be taken on the same plane, with a tripod.
There's a wide cut out around the cat that gets bigger as the cat gets closer to screen center but they cut too far away from the cat ...
How is MvC3 a fan service any more than MK or SFX or TKX? Just because you may not enjoy the series (or may not be fast enough to haha) doesn't make it any less of an epic fighter.
Hell, I play a ton of fighters and I know MvC3 (hell, the MvC series in general) takes much more skill to play. Probably one of the fastest moving and most intricate fighting games. At the same time, MK still looks beast and is gonna blow up something huge.

Survival - Round based mdoes. Demo or explosive - Round based modes. Uncharted 2 has it, SOCOM has it, COD has it & countless other titles have modes like this as well.
It limits people from running around frantically and to take a more serious and tactical approach to a game (because you only have one life for that given round).
Just because you hate COD doesn't make these peoples opinions any less valid. COD gives you a LARGE variety of game types (Halo and SOCOM franchises do as well) There's been a new standard and expectations set for shooters.
So of course people are going to be disappointed when other games (especially exclusives) don't give them the same amount flexibility. And honestly, it's comments like yours that can hold developers back from giving more.
