On the Major Nelson Podcast talking Gamescom, both Major Nelson and Phil Spencer say they are not streaming live but will be releasing videos of announcements throughout the day.
I do wish there is a live stream but no biggie. When new games and announcements are announced, we will see the videos of them on the same day.

Don't compare the Wii U to the XB1, that is your first mistake. The Wii U have very little third party support and Nintendo themselves don't even support the tablet controller that much except for a few games.

No offense, but a lot of gamers do want a Kinect included, like myself. I want something different than a supped-up X360 or X360 3.5 for that matter. The inclusion of Kinect will allow for developers to attempt new ideas with gameplay than what is possible during current generation. Heck, I might not even need all 12 of my eneloop batteries to power my controller. Just a standard 4 will do. Beasts having to connect to a 4 inch USB cable to charge during a middle of a Battlefield 4 deathmatch. Nice!

Hope not, I don't want a X360 3.5 I want a complete experience and Kinect 2.0 is what separating it from the PS4 offering. Not having it required to connect to the system is one thing but it should be included so the accessory can be used to its full potential.
Great to hear. As already seen from the unboxing, the Kinect is a separate camera that can detached from the port so I am not suprise that this is the case.
I still think the console should come with the Kinect so it can utilize it to its full potential but for people that are NSA paranoid, this will ease their pain. No required mandatory internet and no Kinect required, the NSA trolls are running out of excuse now. I am loving it! :)

LOL, no just no. I love the Uncharted trilogy but that is just tinfoil hat fanboyism. If you had said Uncharted 3 looks better than some single player linear PC games running on low spec PCs, then you might have a point.
