I am looking forward to this game. I won't be buying a XONE for it, but I'll surely wait for its multi-plat release.
I hope they concentrate more on the gameplay mechanics, improve a story, and get rid of of the rubbish character development from the first game.
Aim for 60fps or higher, even if it comes with graphics compromise; And you'll have one beast of a game on your hands CD.
"Sometimes I just stop to look at how amazing the lighting and environments are."
Pretty much 99% of sympathizers' rhetoric right there.
Well that's good for you and everything, but a majority of gamers prefer to PLAY their games, more so than watch them.
Good thing shit like this is called out for what it is. LOL @ this article?
User reviews? Seriously now?
LOL standard apologist rhetoric. IF ONLY the length was actually ORDER 1886's major issue. If only! You just compared Uncharted? Except Uncharted actually had more gameplay, and variety. Uncharted helped shape what future adventure TPS games were going to be like.
It wasn't as refined as GEARS OF WAR at the time, but NOTHING on the PS2/XBOX played like uncharted/Ge0w. It was clearly a next gen experience, with new, inventive gameplay mechanics. And still longer than ORD...
LMAO what a laughable review. Flagship title? Hardly.
Mixed reviews? More like downward spiral according to the metacritic aggregate.
I'm glad that smart gamers are calling insipid BS releases like this out. Some of the fantards actually think that this is much different from RYSE.
-Blurry graphics fidelity
- Gimped to hell generic gameplay
- Meh length and literally NO extra features. Not even higher difficulty related challenges....
I find it really hilarious that consoles are trying to compete on graphics, when they are pretty much dated on arrival. Quite funny too, that PS2/XBOX had a huge number of titles that ran at 60fps and played very smoothly.
Instead of developers working within their limitations, and improving gameplay. They are enhancing features that;
(A) The consoles can barely handle
(B) Will get dated within months anyway.
Someone can't wait to...
LOL Dualshockers. Your fanatic damage control, and what you count as "news" never ceases to amuse me.
What a shit site.
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
This is one of the most asinine, brain dead comments I've seen in a long time. You don't just come off as delusional, but bloody thick too.
I mean it's just $60!!! It's not like people can actually think of better things to do with money.
You absolute bellend.
Oi, spare me the runaround bollocks with the whole "context" defense. There is CLEARLY one major assumption/context, when one uses the term attractive to describe a human, or sentient character based on human design.
Sure your blog mentioned others, but a majority of it. The title even screams physical attributes. All I did was state you should speak for yourself, and how silly I think it is for people to be attracted to a bunch of pixels. A view I still stand by. ...
I'm so glad this tech demo won't be getting my money.
I guess most gamers prefer actual games to interactive B-movies.
The desperate damage control is strong with this one.
I'm just glad an average, soulless, over budgeted title is being called out for what it is.
No amount of damage control can hide that.
I'm so glad a completely mediocre overbudgeted title like this is getting called out.
I believe in the end, most gamers prefer games that don't play themselves 50% of the time.
The mediocrity was obvious right from the first few gameplay videos. At least RYSE was a launch title.
Wait hang on, IGN is "credible" now right?
Especially if they say something you agree with.
A load of bollocks, but still a load of bollocks you agree with.
Cool story though. I'll stick with other sources if you don't mind.
"Since the beginning of video game history, we as gamers have always found ourselves attracted to certain video game characters for one reason or another"
Wait.....Hang on.. What? No mate, speak for yourself please. I've played games since I was 4. I'm in my early 20s and I still don't find myself attracted to pixels.
Some of the most engaging games (which are usually rpgs) have you interact with characters on an almost personal level. B...
What a load of bollocks. People are trolls for obviously calling a spade a spade? Lmao I'm glad that there are still gamers out there that aren't sheep. Gamers that have the gall to call out over budgeted, overpriced tripe like this. They won't be looking idiotic anytime soon.
"Trolls must have forgotten about Uncharted 1..."
I beg your pardon? Except Uncharted was an actual step forward in GAMEPLAY. A showcase of how next generation ...
LOL some people trashed RYSE for being almost exactly what this is. All flash and little substance. I personally think the score is a bit generous.
Still not as hilarious as fantards claiming all the lets plays and expressions of disappointments on youtube are by xbox fantards. Yup someone would get a PS4, just to get Order 1886, just to downplay it too.
This bloody review has been paid off. It's all a conspiracy! How can this game be mediocre as it looks...
EVOLVE developer teases an actual FINISHED PRODUCT.
So glad you lot haven't seen my money.
While buggy games are a blight on the industry nowadays, I have to say ROD should talk tough, when they've made a complex game. It's kind of hard for your game to be a buggy mess when;
- It's about as linear as Final Fight on the SNES
- It has mostly small, tight spaces. An obvious attempt to keep the graphic fidelity and still not be able to run anything over 30fps because; "cinematic reasons"
- A good quarter of the ga...
It looks exactly like I thought it would.
Perhaps I'll play this when it's in a bargain bin next year.
However I'm glad this will never see my money.
LMAO. Fantards still cling so desperately to Vaporware.
Ever since I noticed there wasn't shit outside the teaser, and absolutely nothing else about the game; Already knew it was dead. Along with AGENT,GETAWAY (admittedly abandoned much later) , etc.
No thanks. I'll believe something when I see it. Until then, vaporware.
I apologise, but I had to laugh at STRONG STORY and ORDER1886 in the same sentence.
I'll pretend it wasn't predictable hogwash that we've seen done better many times before.
