I upgraded my PS4 last week with the exact drive they mention is this tutorial. A 2TB is definitely the way to go. Cost me about £72.00 delivered. Was easy from start to finish but the backing up and reinstalling is the time consuming bit. Would be better with external support. I needed to do this to get ready for VR. Can guarantee everything will be digital downloads for that!!. Just wanted to mention an example of time's. I deleted stuff to get me down to about 275GB. I had a spare...
That's fantastic news. I really enjoyed the closed Beta on PS4 and didn't delete it just in case. I tweeted them but got no reply.
Why did they not see these issues before releasing the game onto the store ? .
Resistance 4 would be good , Resistance VR would be greater !! .
Cheers 🍻
Does anyone know how big the download is yet?
I noticed a can of redbull in one of the pictures . Must be the only thing keeping him going with all this travelling !! .
It`s probably got an hard act to follow after Driveclub .Good luck .
I for one can't wait for VR. I'm just getting a bit frustrated waiting for news from Sony. I very nearly bottled it last night and order a new VR ready PC!. C'mon Sony let's have a price and release date please.
I was a bit miffed to find out my GTX960 wasn't up for the task. Only got it a few month's ago and find it plays my game's well. Is there a massive difference between a 960 and a 970?. Looks like will be waiting patiently for PSVR instead!!.
I would say Microsoft`s biggest worry in 2016 is the looming appearance of Sony`s PSVR . I really think that PSVR is going to be a massive success and Hololens is definitely not the answer . We all know PSVR even from the start is all about games , games and more games . Every console owner`s real reason of having a console in the first place . We just need a price soon .
All these articles keep saying E3 2016 for a price and release date . I`m hoping i`m using mine at home way before then . E3 just seems too late for what Sony has said so far .
Dollars or Pounds ?
Sony are a hardware manufacturing company first . And a premium quality one at that , and certainly don`t make cheap crap .
Totally agree . Sony are only going to beat Oculus price by £100 imo . I was really hoping Oculus was going to be £399 so that PSVR would come out at £299 . Still a day one purchase though . Just give us a date now Sony please .
I know you can replace an internal HDD ,but the thought of buying another 500GB drive just to back up the first one and then buy a 1TB or 2TB and have to reinstall everything . That`s a waste of time . We want it easy don`t we ? .
My biggest firmware wish has got to be external HDD support . When PSVR kicks in , I bet all demos and games are going to be digital . It`s in Sony`s best interest to give us this . I will be spending loads on everything VR but not if no external HDD !! .
I will be really disappointed if no price and release date isn't announced at CES 2016. This is Sony's chance to one up against the Oculus competition. I don't think Sony will want to be to far behind Oculus rumored early 2016 release. Finger's crossed for the Jan 5th conference!!.
It`s about time we were given external HDD support now . That would be a really welcome Christmas present Sony .
Good question. I suppose a lot of people won't bother backing up and I don't blame them either. However I backed up because my BF4 is about 75GB and my other's are big too. If you have a lot of DLC for your game's I would recommend backing up, if not don't bother.
