your right about all the 360 faults but I still think the exclusive on the 360 are better than on the PS3 has and at the end of the day it's a games machine.
maybe it will change in a few years and no dought I'll get a PS3 eventually (probably for LBP) but at the mo I'm quite happy with the 360 until the PS3 proves itself
it's the other way round anything that is display on the PS3 has to go though the gpu last if the cell did most of the rendering everything would have to travel to and from the GPU and cell for every frame of animation and this would be extremely limited by the cell cashe each spu for example only has 256kb so if you render the whole thing with the cell it would waste too much bandwidth between the two.
a single 720p image can take more than 256kb let alone rendering it twice for the a...
the 360 does exactly the same thing it can also use the cpu to calculate graphical effect I think it call MEMexport and lots of info gets processed by the cpu before going to the gpu a good exaple of this is texture decompression where info is streamed from disk to memory decompressed by the cpu for the gpu to use,
also ati and ibm work together to make sure the two work together unlike sony who just got nvidea to put in a downgraded pc component
Don't buy into all the hype mate the animation that Drakes uses takes up next to no room for a start it's physics based system like assassins creed and if it was 7-9gb like you say it wouldn't fit into the 256 meg system memory
And on another point if Drakes is so superior to the 360 lineup show me a mutiformat GOTY award that it has won alot of the awards ive seen it didn't even make the final nominations and get annihilated by many games on metacritic
yes the 360 is much louder than the ps3 and yes it is mainly the dvd drive the newer models are better though, but how can you say the noise of the DVD drive will get in the way of watching movies from a HD-DVD when the drive isn't even moving.
even if you use the dvd drive and not an external HD-DVD drive or HDD or marketplace download the drive does spin alot quieter for movies as it doen't need to spin anywhere near as quick
I agree it still louder than a PS3 but not...
the patch is for official kits with the correct sponsors etc not to fix a broken game or downgrade the graphics like konami had to do with the PS3 version
I.D's new game tech demo's look great, really interested to see what new wolfenstein looks like too and alan wake and alone in the dark
not sure if it's on the PC but it's defiantly 360 bound what the demo like I only have a 360 and don't have access to a PS3
Didn't like the look of it from the vids aiming looked a bit slow and the character looked like it got in the way of the camera but I'd rather tust the opinions of people that have played rather than the look of a vid.
Wolfenstein has gone very quite since it was announced bout a year an half ago wonder how it's looking hope they are using the new I.D. engine
their a bit cr@p really why didn't they just pay a company to make a live arcade game and bung it on a disk it would have been cheaper than making a shed load of cr@ppy LCD games they could have even made it multi regional and done a world wide campaign
You would prefer if EGM should be obligated to give certain games higher review score rather than be allowed to give an unbiased opinion without a company trying to pressure them like the kane and linch team tried to do.
