My next O.S will be bittorrent's shout I think.

Bioware has been dead for some time now, marketing robots have continued their work in secret. There is literally like 50 different downloadable content things for DA...
I 'gifted' them to myself, free of charge ;).

How is some dumbass talking about things he knows nothing about a slap in the face to anyone?

lol, best call all day.
It's a beautiful thing to see gamers from all platforms unite in calling this douche out.

"and so it was that 5 re skinned enemies would be used throughout each game and their shields would change colour to indicate their strength, such was the innovation of the halo series"

You're right, there is nothing wrong with having them, additional features are always a bonus...but that's the thing, most games 'NEED' them to justify a second playthrough, a sign that you are buying half done games.

It wasn't a personal attack against you, it was simply yet another reason why this generation of gaming is by far the worst, my comment applies to trophies as well, so don't think it was xbox specific.

Dead Space....has persistent upgrades, that is a gameplay way of encouraging replays, because the progression has a tangible benefit in game, it actually does something....unlike trophies, in addition to that, the gameplay was good.

That is the measure ...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOO.

No game is worth playing without achievements!

/s

I mean if the gameplay is so weak that you don't want to go back and play again without the virtual pat on the back your father never gave you...I think you are buying the wrong games

/common sense.

Considering that a game on launch day + the DLC packs costs $100....it is not hard to imagine.

I don't know why anyone buys games new these days, I really hope that used sales go up by 500% if they increase prices, they need to lose out.

For $50 you used to get a 20hr campaign + MP with bots...now you get a 5-10hr games and online only MP that is dead a month after launch save for the trophy whores and DLC addicts

You had one redeeming moment not long ago, when 'Killing in the Name of' went to number on on the christmas sales chart to top out some marketing drone in one of the pop star competitions, it was a glorious moment not just for England but for all Commonwealth countries and indeed the entire world.

It almost makes up for the 'Crazy Frog' song being number on in the U.K some years ago...

I used to read that people in the U.K claimed to have supe...

*grumble grumble* you ruined christmas, I had a similarly worded response in my 'snappy comeback holster'.

off topic: nothing like some Mastodon + inebriation + n4g

The difference is that TV has been mainstream for what 60 years? and it has been refined all the while. mainstream 3d is BRAND NEW, there have been no long term tests and no refinement. Look at any PC 3D review from a tech sight, they don't do subjective 'play beyond!' accounts of 3d, they do ghosting tests and such a scientifically measure the glaring flaws of clearly premature tests, they all conclude the same thing.

'3D will be better when it has matured...

Yeah because 'what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right?"

Like living near power lines or muscular dystrophy...

Whether or not people can realise it, there is ghosting in 3d, it messes with you eye muscles and aside from the darker picture due to using the 3d glasses which again cause eye strain...

Yes there is going to be long term effects. Have fun being lab rats.

I have to copy an epic comment from the article:

"Oh give me a break. First of all, if Jaffe wants to put his work in the public arena and charge admission, people can criticize it any *** way they want. If he wants someone to hang his macaroni art on the fridge, then he can whine to his mommy.

Secondly, it's not necessarily the responsibility of the critic (or even the general populace) to design a better game for the designer. These are two differe...

I agree, pokemon is always the main reason I buy a new handheld. I always buy the new handhelds and only ever buy <10 games each time, because I get almost unlimited time out of pokemon.

For me, who traded in their DSi, I need to upgrade because the DS fat screen is so dull, I would buy a DSi-XL now but it's going EOL soon and when the next gen of pokemon ( 3DS exclusive ) comes out, I don't want to have to shell out again.

As far as i'm concerned they are both as bad as each other, the 'intel is selling overpriced components' argument doesn't really work when they perform so much better. You get what you pay for, I think intel are A-holes but next gen whe...
