in crysis i've seen up to 2gig of ram used just for the program...not the whole pc, i very very much doubt the hype will live up to be true..no internet can stream that much info, maybe in 10 years when fibre optics start to become maxed out?, if that's even possible

pc gaming, gets the best of it all, i dont mind a good port, and multiplats, when done properly don't suffer at all on pc, eg. fallout 3 ( yes i know it had bugs, i mean graphically)

i've been holding of getting a ps3 for this..i couldn't justify a ps3 for sony's current library, but if i can play upscald ffx etc then i'm happy
as long as "multiplayer" matches against bots is still able to be done offline then i am happy, i seriously hate the lack of offline multiplayer in most games ( far cry 2, fear 2)

personally i don't think there are enough "good" rpg's on any platform at the moment, but in another year we'll have alot more to choose from
bullsh!t it runs smoother on you playstation....i have a one gig card a c2q, which makes no difference in most fps' over a c2d and i run 1680*1050, everything maxed, 8*aa and v-sync, and it runs at 45-55 frames at all times...
Far Cry 2 might be one of the better looking console games, but the difference between the pc version and the console version is even greater than most mustiplats, anyone care for dx9 lighting in far cry 2, then playstation is for you!!
i don;t know how people can say "you can't notice 720p not being as good as 1080p on anything less than 50 inch".....take a look at a computer monitor, and lcd monitor has a native res same as an lcd tv....and anything less than native looks terrible...even on a small screen

i know what you mean, i only game on my pc...which is a beast...but not a crysis conquering beast, i swear there's alot of optimisation to go though...cry engine 3 will have increased draw distances, higher res textures etc, they'll scale all that down for the console, and besides...what are config files for?
