originally it was global and the system kept choking. so they made the US connectivity patch and fixed the half the problems now they released it to the rest of the world so every one can connect to everyone again of coarse the game is now running slower in the US.
this has nothing to do with PSN. This has to do with Peer 2 Peer connections.lets say we17 people are in a game in cod4 and all have 4 bars and you invite a friend with 2 bars everyone is palying at 2 bars now due to P2P. I agree. I also dont think the servers should bring you into a game unless you do have the best possible connection. I am tired of getting thrown into laggy games all the time. the problem lies with Peer 2 Peer connection and the technology is not ready for this level of multiplayer. P2P is still in it infancy IW should have tested more before going there. Some are trying to say it is PSN but this is the only game i have lag on RS6 warhawk and resistence all work fine all the time.
the only difference is that they are on different battle grounds and one has a bunch of explosions and fighting and one does not. the vehicles on both images are the same quality.
It was a tough choice, and making the decision between the two sucked. In the end I chose a PS3 I knew I couldn't handle my system going out on me and wireless and bluray were to sweet to pass on. I have admitted multiple times in 2007 that xbox 360 was a better system for the now but I saw this as an investment and looked at PS3 as better choice for the future and i believe that is what Hil is saying too.
I totally agree... and look how long it took HD to make a dent. Do these guy expect TV studios to update every week. I mean that size just feels industrial not consumer. Who actually has a TB of info on there computer? I have a desk top with 2 500 gB hardrives but i have maybe 100GB of info on them in total. I am a fan of early adoption i have 2 HDTVs and 2 Bluray players but this is just over kill. Consumers are not going to keep jumping from format to format every 5 years i Know i am not.

I don't think they will merge, the only company that will lose finacially from the loss of HD dvd is toshiba. they own the rights 100% and is the reason sony, hitachi, and i believe phillips(Not sure they are the 3rd company tho there are 3 with ownership to bluray)made bluray. I have read on multiple sites that warner is a strong believer in one format and was hoping paramount would invest in a new type of disc with them. A disc that would have both HD dvd and bluray capability, but paramount took a side and so they closed R and D on the project. think about this you have two guys each buy into the 2 camps of HD media...
Guy A can afford to blow $500 on bluray player. now if Guy A can afford to pay 500 bucks for player what is 30 buck disc. obviously guy A has the money to buy the discs month after month.
Guy 2 waits until a Hd player is a $100 with HDdvd. If Guy 2 is unwilling or unable to buy a player until it is $100 how much monthly income is he going to put toward these $30 disc.

I have no idea when PS3 will win the NA market but it wont matter since MS is losing everywhere else. 2008 will see PS3 pass 360 tho maybe not in NA for some time. tho I think a lot of people are waiting to buy for FF13 and MGS4 and i think those games will carry more impact then people want to believe. I also think if warner folds over to Bluray Exclusively this Jan.( this would bring Bluray control of 70% of the film market.) this will really start to move PS3's as Bluray players too.
If warner signs on with Bluray which is very likly and most probable then they won, if warner goes HDdvd settle in for long fight.
Bluray has said that this medium will be supported for 10 -15 years and HD DVD is planning on "updating their medium in the next 5 years which mean yet another new player and so on.

You know this has to be the stupidest poll ever. Yeah the people who can barely afford an HD tv are going to save HD dvd. Even with cheap players the disc on both side are still expensive. gears of war 3 in not contractually a 360 exclusive and with epic in love with PS3 because of the open system I think it would be mistake to assume a game that is not even in production will not go multiplatform. Another possible exclusive loss is mass effect since it got bought by EA, tho PS3 may not get this game but likely will get 2 and 3 in the series... tho a possibility EA does not make exclusive game (Bad for Profit).

season have you tried that?? i have heard every thing is tied into the user name and tho you can to 5 different consoles you are still using your user info to get them. I know for a fact tho that if i play a game on one ps3 and download to another that it takes 24 hour for the license to be released.
IE i have two PS3s i download warhawk on both, if use warhawk on PS3 A i have to wait 24 before I can use it on PS3 B. that is how sony protects their DLC.
