I understand they under pressure they need everything they can get on their side right now. You are right that they cant delay the game any more especially if the rumors are true that zipper is working on socom 4 they need this game out to recoup money and so zipper doesn't drop their socom prematurely on confrontations back.

Sony should not have released a broken product. I bought the game even after the beta ran like dog crap. I love the socom franchise but if it had not included the headset i would be asking for blood . the reality to it is slant 6 is no zipper and this game is broken all over not just the servers. stats do not work community tools work like crap compared to the PS2 versions... this game should be a system seller and it is not
but it has a ton of problems still beta or not i have horrible lag, and major stability issues on the servers. I dont think the game will be ready in time and it will suffer like R6V 2 and people will give up and move on to other games. I hope that is not the case socom is my fav but this games servers bite at best.

for me this kind of thing is all about the concept but i am sure it will look at least as good as warhawk. Socom always looked got for the system.
tho i think both sides should have ninja because that could be a stealth class. and you would rank up to be samurai. you could also be and archer class, swordsman, spear man and calvary... a lot of potential for character growth and customization.

I think he was implying that, i am thinking open mic for your sqaud and each squad leader can talk to each other via push to talk (the new socom will have a similar system with open mic for people in your party and push to talk to people out side of it on your team). if the graph is any indication of some of the logistics it look like there will be ranks with in that chain of command. this game will seriously rock hard!!

One of the reasons i bought my PS3 was because XIII was a PS3 exclusive.
I also remember Square saying that each system would get it's own exclusives, and a bunch of talk that this game would not be able to run on anything but a PS3's cell a while back... It is disappointing on so many levels and i guess integrity is out the window at square enix. I guess will be picking up an xbox as soon as a new sku comes out hopefully it will be reliable.

I have found tons of problems on Battlefield Bad Co on PS3. I know we are talking about a different game but we are talking about the sam company and how they have pretty much shafted the PS3 users again. What got my goat was what the Ea rep politely said to me as spouted the list of problems i found with the game she basically said Ea doesn't care and that tho they file these complaints they don't actually hand them to the developer and that i should take my problems to to the game forums.

the PS3 did lose 3 billion but how much money is bluray making or going to make?? i think Sony knew PS3 would get effected at some point but they wanted the opportunity to control a new media and it was probably a strategic sacrifice for the long term, tho i don't think Sony expected PS3 to be affected as much as they have i don't think this was a surprise for them.

The failure has effected me I wanted one real bad but i cant justify buying something that might break out of blue, and my luck is not good. and they just fixed the DRM issue but again until the RROD problem becomes a whisper i am probably not going to get one.
I think by profit they mean they are now making money on each system sold which is good, but I dont think they are out of the red. I assume MS is no longer throwing money at xbox to keep it afloat but i dont think it makes up for this money and the billion before that and all the money they were losing on top that 2 years before they got to profitability.
MS is a 50 Billion dollar a year company and Sony is almost a 90 billion dollar year company Those losses are effecting MS more then they let on. If sony is complaining about profitability and they are twice the size i would love to be a fly at MS these days at some point share holders will say hey we need to stop this.
the thing that gets me is that people act like there is no room for 3 consoles. why is that people have need for there to be just one or two consoleS?? all 3 are going nowhere especially not sony as they are consumer electronics company (This is there bread and butter).
