I would buy one asap at that price. No brainer. It's not worth $200 to me (especially with the overpriced memory) but at $89.99 there is not a doubt that it is worth it. Would be surprised to see retailers support this price though. Especially the like of gamestop who have used consoles which they would lose huge profits on. Would be a world chamging move in the handheld gaming business though. Could wasily see it overturning 3ds within a month of release, not to mention a huge increase i...
@Tyler weird ... so, tearaway is not developed by media molecule, but sony claimed so in their own reveal... are you saying sony are "xbox guys" her to spread "disinformation" (not a real word) too?
Timestamped, read small print. "Developed by Media Molecule":

Wow ... you are setting yourself up for disappointment there ...
Hmm, I find that hard to believe. Especially considering "computer scientist" is the most outlandish job position description I have ever heard. It would be like calling the people at nasa spaceship guys.
That all said, you contradict yourself regardless. Directx 12 is a kernal and it does transmit data between the hardware and an application, but bettering that process can actually benefit the quality of a game. Will it make the physocal hardware more capable? No. ...
Media molecule is doing tearaway unfolded are they not? Santa monica were working on a big new franchise that got cancelled, and god of war remaster, doubt they pulled a new game together already in that time, with all the layoffs, but maybe.
Morpheus will definitely be a big focus, I am not interested personally, but it will definitely be cool to see. No man's sky will almost definitely be morpheus compatible, would explain the priority they took with PS4 As a timed rele...
Not mixed signals, all the devs who have used it have all said it will be a benefit.
Only the random devs unaffiliayed with DX12 on PC or XB1 that claim otherwise. Sadly, on this site everyone takes the word of those people rather than those using it.
Even with demos from square, unreal and crytek showing DX12 improvements people will still claim it does nothing. The only question is how big of an impact on XB1. My guess is it will be pretty small, but bug e...
@rain c++ and visual basic are the primary syntax languages for dx3d of any kind, very few changes in that. Weird you claim to be some god-like programmer but don't know that...
Not to mention crytek, unreal and square have all had tech demos showing there is an inpactful change. So should people believe you (the random self proclaimed pro) or the people who actually presented something with the software?

I agree, those people are also stupid. Are you suggesting fanboys in a comment section somehow make an article based on an interview with someone who has no experience with the software they are talking about is validated by such?
If so that is just as stupid. In fact, you claiming it will do nothing is also equally stupid as you have no clue, and it has been proven that there will be improvements. (Just how much is the question) The reality is, the software is neither releas...
What a troll, you clearly don't believe that yourself, you are just stealth trolling to identify yourself as some MS drone.
Why would a random ex-naughty dog dev who isn't working with DX12 on XB1 or PC or gaming at all currently (film graphics) be a reliable source to quote from? Seems pointless.
Not to mention both consoles are strongly CPU bound as their core speeds are terrible. Not saying he is wrong or right, but someone who is actually using the software would make much more sense to quote, these comments from him are essentially guesses.
I feel like gaming bolt decided...
Star wars is, was and has been an established franchise well before battlefront. Battlefront was a singular look into that universe. You can't completely change that and just keep the name And think people won't notice.
The new battlefront is not battlefront, it is a star wars game with guns, like battlefront. (Almost no other similarities) It would be like WB games creating an entirely new batman game, with almost none of the qualities of the previous games, (but sam...
@sean but you are wrong. The "cloud" does have the ability to improve the capability of the XB1. Which many on here seem to think is not true, yourself included. (based on your statement)
The only question is cost, and that is likely the only reason it still has not been shown in relation to XB1. We have already seen multiple tech demos showing the capability of the cloud. To the point of quadrupling the amount of physics calculations able to be done by a system un...
This isn't a statement from MS, neither are most of the articles which are often brought up.
The reality is though cloud rendering is real and MS, Google, nvidia and even amazon are working on the tech. (And have been for years) If you feel more comfortable denying it exists that is fine, but seems pretty pointless. Will they use it with XB1? Who knows. Will it be cost effective? Who knows. Does it exist? Without question
In fact, many statistics firms us...
Perhaps no AAA exclusive, but 3 big MS Published releases.
-Screamride
-Ori
-State of decay remaster
It is not like MS released nothing as you guys love to claim.... Not to mention the amount of games coming in the fal. Have Major releases more closely together is hardly as unthinkable as you guys are claiming, especially when there are still MS published exclusives coming out almost every month in Q1-Q2.
100% agree, have been waiting to play this since they showed it e3 2013. Looks great.
Idk why everyone thinks multiplatform includes PS4. I could just as easily see this as a xbox/pc only game. We know at launch it is XB1/360 only. So timed for PC. Then again might come to PS4 hard to say. We know one thing for sure the sequel was very unlikely without MS as Square was sorely disappointed with sales of the first on it's initial platforms at least.
I don't get this authors point.
1. This is based on the hourly list. (Yes, hourly.) That alone makes this whole article pointless.
2. There are more products specific to xbox one than there are to PS4 (psn cards can be used on any ps console) so how does that paint a gloomy picture. In fact, the only console on that list is the XB1. Again though, this is all based on a 1 hour time frame.
3. Hardly any of the product on that list are exclu...
Yea, but can you imagine only 1 hour? (As they originally announced) That is what I had been worried about as it made almost no sense how they would fit everything in that we know. (Let alone any new stuff)
I agree I would prefer 2 hours, but who knows, maybe there is less than we are expecting to see if an hour almost cut it.
This post is what got me worried, when they said 1 hour long:
It's not hard to brute force a password? Based on what?
Sony uses 256-bit AES with multi-layer encryption, not to mention there is a password attempt limit and lockout. As well as warning when suspicious login patterns occur.
Do you understand what "brute force" refers to? It is essentially guessing the password.

Computer scientist is not a posistion nor a degree. It is a description of such. Anyone who has a degree or position would know that. Generally all it means is a major in mathematics or a computer related field. Really simple to understand. Just like saying you work on broadway. There are lots of jobs in broadway not just one.
