It sounds like you are making excuses for hdmi...my tv is the latest Samsung has to offer. It doesn't get any "Newer". Its not that HDMI looks bad...its just that componant looks as good and in some cases better. Read the link I posted. They both handle signals the same.

It was a fun ride...not as scary as Condemed...but I love it. And it looked and played beautiful in 1080p. Now, I'm trying to finish Call of Duty 3. I know I'm close to beating it. Another beautiful game on the 360 in 1080p. Hopefully this port is as good as the 360 version. From the history of 3rd party games on the ps3 and 360... I would assume it won't be. And I have come to the same conclusion that they did on national TV at the apollo....The 360 version easily looks and plays better than the ps3 version. Especially on a 1080p tv....On my TV the ps3 via hdmi for fight night is 720p but the 360 version is 1080p upscaled...it looks notibly better. Think twice before investing into DVI/HDMI solutions!
One of the major reasons the studios are pushing DVI/HDMI interfaces in upcoming players is because those interfaces provide COPYRIGHT PROTECTION!!! Component output, on the other hand, provides no way to protect the content transmitted over it. Quality-wise, I can't tell the difference between component and DVI in any of my systems, so I always use component.

Previews are meant to hype games up. Every single Ps3 preview made it seem like the ps3 version would be better than the 360 version.
