It seems to me that in the last 2 games, Rockstar has gotten second thoughts about their main characters during the production of their games. So they decide to kill off the main character to bring in another instead of redoing the whole game with the new character.

The only issue I had was my character freezing in VATS and having to wait about a minute before VATS cleared off.

Possible, but I read you must scavenge weapons, and weapons are scarce unlike L4D. That alone will make this a lot better than L4D since the feeling of not having a weapon to defend yourself will make the game intense.
That boat ride 00:57 looks exactly the same as the one in MW2, meaning they didn't even add new animations to it or make the boat a different model.
