I never read the books, but have beat all 3 games. The ending of Gears 3 pretty much sums everything up, which if you beat all 3 games, you should understand the story very well without having to read the books.
Eventually I'll read the books to get deeper into the story.

lol am I the only one who paid more attention to the Gears 3 trailer ad on the right? So much more compelling than this crap they call MW3.
As of now, that won't happen. Epic has stated that Microsoft makes their exclusive partnership very worthwhile, and every time they sit down with Microsoft, they give them very good reasons to work with them again.
They do want to be everywhere and take away Resistance and Killzone fans, but their benefits from exclusivity with Microsoft just outweighs the benefits of going on PS3.

As an avid COD player since the first and having bought every COD up until Black Ops, I can say I'am no longer a fan. Just putting it out there that there are people who are no longer buying into COD's same staled gameplay. I can also vouch that I'm not picking up BF3 either, so no, I'm not a fanboy before you decide to call me that.

You can build a good gaming desktop with that much and still have enough money left over to buy a laptop that can play the latest games. Razer is equivalent to Apple.

I never use the one on PS3. It's too buggy and useless to me. I have an iPod, phone, laptop, and desktop nearby so I can surf the web. Others may not have the same resources as I do though, but I wouldn't use the PS3 browser because it sucks pretty bad...

I paid $399 for a decent PC in 2004.
I paid $299 for an Xbox 360 in 2005.
I paid $299 for a Playstation 3 Slim in 2009.
A total of $997 spent in the course of 7 years.
I can still play all the latest games, surf the web, homework, and other PC necessities, which is all I need to do.
Would I have spent more than $598, which is the price of the consoles, in the course of 7 years if I were to continuously ...
I have 500 GS for Gears 3 and have enough time to play everyday. Just in case you want to let me in lol.
