Most likely there won't be a L4D3. They only released L4D2 so early because they weren't happy with the things that the first was missing. If anything, they will make more DLC that will further explain the horrible event that happened in The Passing.
You're missing out on a great game then. L4D2 is not an expansion, it's way better than the first. Melee weapons, new special infected, uncommon common infected. Just so much new things that makes the game really good. I suggest you pick it up before making assumptions.

360 doesn't need free online gaming. Live is very popular even though you have to pay for it. For some reason, gamers who prefer the 360 don't have a problem paying the subscription. 360 doesn't need more studios, there are enough games on the 360 that are enjoyable.
