I wonder how it'll fare for someone like myself who never played the original.
You don't have to be a professional industry analyst to know this is coming. EA has shuttered plenty of talented developers like Respawn. Their fate is sealed, but that doesn't mean part of me isn't holding out a sliver of hope for them.
Games as a service is understandable from a business standpoint, but it's not at all what I want as a consumer.
The PC port already looks like it's in good shape, but I wouldn't mind the removal of Denuvo if it's already been cracked. Anything for added performance.
Thanks for pointing out the mistake. I had just finished an article revolving around the 6th gen and I guess it was still stuck in my head
I'm surprised more western games haven't cashed in on the absence of Red Dead Redemption on PC. Maybe Sunset Rangers and the Wild West MMO are just the beginning. Not sure if that's a good thing yet...
I had avoided MGS Twin Snakes and Conker Live & Reloaded since both were remakes of earlier generations. Viewtiful Joe and God Hand are definitely ones I regret overlooking. I might have to make a Part 2 article just to throw these classics in.
KOTOR 2 got a sizeable update on PC within the past year or so I believe bringing updated resolution support and making it playable on a more modern OS. Not anywhere near a remaster but definitely welcome
I almost included XIII in this list!
I had completely forgotten about Stubbs. What a gem
Kinda misleading title. The title makes it sound like the environment is larger on XOX, but it's just extended draw distance. The "whole of Egypt" is there in all versions, but how much is shown in a given instance differs across platforms. The writer mentions this in the article at least.
Did you ever read the story outline and plot twist for Prey 2 that Eurogamer uncovered earlier this year? It made its cancellation hurt even more.
Anyone else notice the $1 difference between the Xbox and PlayStation Store listings for the DLC?
Looks like they don't

Read the title and immediately agreed
My exact thought
That's not what I meant. What I was saying is, I was curious if I'd enjoy this game as much without the nostalgia factor. I have been interested in playing Outcast: Second Contact since I first heard of the remaster.
