I think they were suprised by Sony/MSoft releasing updated hardware.
The NX was supposed to be revealed during the 1st quarter of 2016. I think a Nintendo exec said that last year.

I have to agree with people siding with Sony here.
It had some surprising/controversial moments.
I mean I wanted to see GOW4. Right now I'm not digging the change but it's still something you want to learn more about as time goes on.
Alot of people wanted Crash but we're surprised that it will be remake of the 1st 3 games.
Spiderman was shown but people were shocked that Insomniac is handling it instead of...

That doesnt make sense. You can't blame consumers. Especially in this situation when clearly crash fans wanted a new game.
So if it doesn't sale, that goes on Sony/Activision.
That's why i think Sony at the last min announced they weren't going to show NEO.
