I don't know about rest but yes Xbox one controller isn't on same level comfort wise as Xbox 360
it's a good start and we as gamers hope that xbox division joins sony/nintendo in making quality exclusives on consistent bases. That's when gaming will be at it's best. Competition is great for us gamers as all companies will be trying their hardest for out attention/money
so gears 5 is a very good start and more needs to be done from here to repair the image of xbox game studios
But gears 4 was the an okay game at best so that's not saying much but your point is spot on this is return to gears original trilogy level quality

No absolutely not you can't say that it's a start and a good start at best. What Sony and Nintendo are doing and delivering compare to ms no order can be restored with one game
Xbox has an image problem and that can only change with consistently great games
The last one they did was good but fans expected E3 level announcements when Sony told us they will show what's already revealed from their big games
That was the main reason behind no PSX last year if fans can't manage their expectations even when a company is telling them ahead of time by being transparent than its not Sony's fault

you do have a point in your comment. Switch is selling so well because ps4 and xbox one are closer to the end of this gen. Switch has gotten better 3rd party support but most games are older releases at full price
