Damn, so Ryse is really THAT bad??
As a gamer that plays on PS products mostly, this is sad, it's never good to see a game with such potential turn out pretty bad. Funny thing is Ryse was the only game that I was interested in as far as their launch games goes.
I would've gotten a PS4 on day 1...but honestly..why? I have to wait in line and deal with a bit more issues than if I just wait a few months, and have a wider selection of games to choose from. Next Gen does feel underwhelming though, the jump isn't as big as PS2 to PS3, or Xbox to Xbox360. But hey, I'm excited about what's in store for both consoles in the horizon.
I want a next gen burnout after this game...jus saying.
Apparently nobody has learned their lesson from previous console launches... and I am referring to consumers.
None of the systems have my heart yet. As much as I want one I'm gonna wait a bit, the hype of getting a next gen system on day 1 isn't worth it when you usually just end up paying $50-$100 more for subpar games and hardware issues. So far from what I've seen online I'm disappointed with the KZ and Knack reviews, and as for the Xbox one, as excited as I was for Ryse, it looks like crap, and Dead Rising looks the same as the previous one. The games next year look much, much bet...
@ZombieGamerMan, yeah and I jumped into Far Cry a few days ago and then stopped playing after 5 minutes. GTA5's singeplayer lacks longevity.
Lonegvity? What longevity, I never had a reason to return to the singeplayer, picking up random collectibles all over the city, yeah that sounds fun...the story dragged down the well written characters, every feature that returned from San Andreas was dumbed down. GTA5 is overrated, plain and simple.
What? " online issues have been resolved for the majority of the people?" I still see horrible glitches everywhere and disconnects. A "handful"?? How do you know it's a handful?
Fact is online hasn't worked properly, and overall as a game it really isn't that great. 7/10 is way smarter than a 10/10 like some foolish reviwers did.

if you consider mediocre gameplay and amazing graphics next gen...by all means..enjoy it...I'll be waiting for this game's goty nomination.
Not a downgrade for me, cheaper console, more organized community, free games here and there, great exclusives, to each his own bud, stop worrying about what your overpriced computer has over other consoles.

I wanna who's the idiot that keeps disagreeing with people that are saying this game is 7.5-9.0, because it sure as hell isn't a perfect 10, and I love my GTA games.
AC3 was boring as hell, characters were poorly written imo. Not getting AC4 till maybe Black Friday.

Seems like a decent game, I personally have no interest in it, not my cup of tea, but with so many good games out for the PS3, and then preparing for PS4 launch, I'm not losing any sleep over skipping on this title.
I don't agree with the review score, but I honestly think it is more far-fetched or dumb to give this game a perfect 10 than a 6.5. Why? GTA5 is far from perfect...every feature that made a return from San Andreas(haircuts, car modding, clothes, etc.) has been downgraded or limited in some way. I felt like the game was too short, and those other activities where you find collectibles around the city are boring.
The online could've made up for all these flaws and then so...
Gamereactor has always been crap...just look at their ridicoulous reviews...
