If this rumor turns out to be true I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft used the channel to market upcoming games. Much like how they did with Halo 4!

Well this is an interesting rumor. I think having original content is a good idea. I can imagine it being similar in content to TechTV.
Hopefully Microsoft will start opening their mouths soon about the rumors so people can know what is what.
I might be in the minority here, but I wouldn't want a remake of FF7. Maybe create a new chapter in the story. Coarse with Square the way they are right now that may not be a good thing either.

Many games, not just Assassins Creed can learn something from Shenmue!
Great storying telling, great adventure, great characters, great graphics (at the time).
The best thing Ubi can do with the Assassins Creed series right now is give it a bit of a break. I hope they don't take the Assassins Creed approach with Watch Dogs if its success...
That's an interesting way of looking at it and I partially agree. I want to say they should have waited and done more with the hardware instead of (in my opinion) the bare minimum. The tablet controller is interesting, but its nothing to write home about either.
They need to push games, and push them fast.
It would be cool to see a few more mature games. Not necessarily blood and guts violence games, but mature in story. Here's hoping Nintendo get's their act toget...

Sometimes I wonder if they even had a game plan with the Wii U or if they honestly thought people would jump on the bandwagon like they did the with the Wii.

I don't think a price cut would do any good, mostly because its little to no marketing for the Wii U! I haven't seen one freaking commercial for the thing since it's launch! I'm not saying buy up all the air time, but show something.
The other thing are the games! Many of the games coming out for the Wii U have already been out for the 360/PS3! You get a been there done that feel with it. Why drop a few hun...
I have to disagree with you on this MrAnderson. I feel that the 3 day cycle adds that sense of urgency and hopelessness, which you don't get in the other Zelda games. Plus if you slowed down time you'd have more than enough time to complete things.
Most of the other Zelda games follow the same beaten path of A Link to the Past! Nothing wrong with that, but it's just refreshing for them to leave the path every now and then.
I would say it should borrow the atmosphere as well as those listed.
One thing I loved about MM was its atmosphere. How it gave that creepy vibe, a celebratory time, and the all hope is lost! That was great experiencing all pf that playing the game.
Really though I hope the Zelda U can create a unique identity for itself without relying too much on the things of past games.

I hope for this meeting the non disclosure agreement isn't to harsh. I, like many others want to know what is true and what is rumor/speculation!
Honestly they need to market the Wii U better. I haven't seen one commercial on tv for that thing. They need to get the word out and let the consumer know this is a new and better hardware than the Wii.
Saying that though, I'm sure once bigger name games come the sales will go up.
Ps1 controllers work on the ps2 and the gamecube controllers work on the Wii.
So it has been done,and remember this is all speculation and rumors.
For all we know the next xbox will use a hamster wheel as a controller.
Would love a Jade Empire 2, but I believe bioware are the ones who would decide that. I think it would be a good launch for the next xbox, but sadly its not gonna happen.

Very bold claim to make on the graphics, but that's only just a piece of what is needed. My concern is the overall gameplay. From what they said in the article it seems like the gameplay might be pretty fun, and much improved over Crysis 2 boring gameplay.
Seems like they took a page from Far Cry 3s book with how hunting plays apart with everything. Not necessarily a bad thing either if implemented correctly.
