Have you ever played an NES game before? Watch AVGN on YouTube. I'm with you. At one time, games had to be polished before being launched but these days you just never know. Ina perfect world, it would be this way but, it isnt. Even the re-release of Pier Solar for the Genesis wound up buggy and glitchy. Fortunately my copy turned out fine, but some that waited over a year and a half had to send their back with no replacements.

Won't be buying this. Name is retarded, it looks retarded, and what made those days great, was Nintendo was dominating the market and SEGA stood up to them and challenged them and it was literally a bloody battle. Nintendo wanted to cater to the family and SEGA said screw it, we'll go after the teens. It was a console war full of jabs and spite. Hate and fear. Even consumers were wrapped up in. That's what made that era great. You can't bring that back. This is Nintendo with n...

People can say what they want but nobody can read the minds of executives of Sony and Microsoft. I, however, am of the opinion that this bothers Microsoft more than it bothers Sony. If you look at Microsoft's history, and then the history of its founder, you'll see my point. Bill Gates father was a lawyer that was extremely competitive and unless you mean to win, you may as well not even bother. This mentality obviously is a huge part of Microsoft. So, for Microsoft to trail behind, i...

Microsoft hasn't changed, even since the departure of Don Mattrick. They're still desperation still lies at the door and they'll do anything they can to make sales. It's deceitt. Sony has nothing to hide. What they show, is powered by their machine. Sony doesn't want to be #1, they just want to be profitable. Microsoft, however, cannot bear the scorn. All this stuff about Phil Spencer being a saint that is finally turning things around, is still the same bull crap story.

It's a Nintendo exclusive because Nintendo paid a struggling Capcom for exclusive rights. HOW STUPID DO WE ALL LOOK? Nintendo has bottomless pockets and Capcom has been progressively eroding over time.Uh, in severe financial trouble. That's why Dead Rising 3 remained an Xbox One exclusive.

The PS3 and PC could have done 3D, and a Dual Screen option could have been possible using the Vita but, it doesn't need dual screen. Monster Hunter games have been on Sony plat...

Uh huh. And what is Microsoft doing with these traded in Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles? We know why they're buying them from us, especially Sony's console, but what are they doing with an "obsolete" gaming console. Giving PS3 consoles to their employees or putting them in break rooms? Sending the competitions consoles to third world countries for charity? Nah. I bet they're burying them in New Mexico next to the E.T. Atari cartridges as propoganda to convince the world they...

Larry Hyrb would be better off working at PlayStation. He could get the same pay, same benefits, and less stress. He won't go however, because he feels he's important, wanted, and has a place at Microsoft. But, Sony and PlayStation have a MUCH better social network with names that are bigger in the games industry. Larry Hyrbs feelings of inadequacy will lead to his eventual demise. Those that are smart have left Microsoft with their dignity. He's the only one left.

There are issues with this article and, with all do respect, the writers point of view. I'm glad you're an optomist glass is half full sort but, this is all stuff Don Mattrick could have easily dealt with on his own. His public image had just been embarrassing for him and he gave up and bailed. Phil Spencers hands are still tied. He doesn't run Microsoft and he still has to answer to the CEO that has to answer to the Board that answers to Microsoft's investors.

And IGN is getting better with age? They're just as immature. IGN thinks they're big and lay claim to a lot of things in the world but, they're really not that professional. They don't even know how to proofread their articles.

Good on Jaffe. He created that series, has watched it grow from its birth and fathered it and has stuck by it the whole way through.

He may start up an indie studio like many developers that left Capcom. The problem is, his ambition. His projects cost a lot of money that only companies like Konami, Capcom,Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo can provide but only Microsoft and especially Sony can harness. I wouldn't bank on him going exclusively one way or the other. While Kojima's home has always been on the PlayStation, he sure forgot all about that when he lept on stage with Don Mattrick (then of Microsoft) and has made...

You can bet after the reception of Drive Club and the Order (both great games you should play, by-the-way) Sony are really thinking what's going to help them be profitable. They can be like SEGA, or they can be like Nintendo. Additionally, this isn't the first time that Naughty Dog have delayed a game. If I were Crystal Dynamics, I'd be sighing a huge sigh of relief, and whatever is set for the fall, I'd be panicing.

There's likely a lot of corporate espio...

I agree. I think we have greater concerns in life. More pressing matters.

It's actually great for the franchise. PS4 actually has a much larger fanbase and, releasing it sooner than later is better while the consoles are Ina drought rather than waiting until the markets saturated. That's why releasing games early in the console cycle ain't bad. Look at The Order. Over half a million units in the first week.

Business and politics are the same thing. Equally and crooked and corrupt, equally and unpredictable, equally as uneducated and unforseen. Harrison mentioned long term Microsoft, exactly what I mean. It apparently was very short.

This whole debate on PC'S matching PS4 specs really grinds my gears. Not because the PC community is RIGHT, but because it doesn't friggin matter. Consoles, spec-wise, have always been behind PC. We've known this for years, and your just beating the same dang friggin horse.

To all the "PC Master Race" gamers out there, I'm sick of you flabbing your gums over the same crap we've been hearing for years. It's like that annoying kid in grade scho...

Is this an incentive for me to buy an Xbox One now? No. And PS4 has outsold the Xbox One yet again, even after Microsoft's price drop. Battlefield 4 wasn't all that great. I don't expect Hardline will be any better.

Also, remember PS4 got an early beta access that I don't Xbox One got so.... Let Microsoft burn through their cash reserve spending exorbant amount of money on a console that still won't sell. Also, what do you expect from an American software ...

It won't and Sony isn't at all afraid because they have Uncharted. Microsoft knows they have Uncharted and there's nothing Microsoft can do about that. So, they're going to play good cop bad cop and try and get on Crystal Dynamics side and feed them bait. Feed them marketing and see if they can convince Crystal Dynamics to side with them by saying: Hey, we can give you that boost you'll need. You don't like Naughty Dog so we'll help you fight the battle. And it'...

It's Gears of War and Uncharted. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune didn't have a multilayer but was story driven. Ready at Dawn did best not include any kind of Multilayer or Co-op, because they don't excel at that. God of War Ascension multilayer flopped. It was a waste of time and resources because Santa Monica doesn't do multiplayer. They instead make great single-player story driven experiences. So, Ready at Dawn was smart to play on their strengths

What does...

I think they can guarantee it. Sony have released games and then a year later made them free to download if you have a PS Plus Subscription. I have a feeling this will be one of those games. And you'll have more than 5 cars and ten tracks. Just be patient.

At what cost to hardware performance and the managing of your system resources though? Xbox One games are already taking hits in graphical resolution and frame-rate. If the console is trying to outdo the PS4 on small things that don't matter, well, you're only shooting yourself in the foot. Like material things cost money. Immaterial things cost system resources, and you have to pick your battles. So, Sony innovates on scree shot capture, but not at the expense of precious system reso...
