This game will sell regardless, and the PlayStation install base with how many will purchase this game will sell and make it worth it for Crystal Dynamics, they'll forget all about it in time and it won't matter. Soul Calibur 2 had exclusive characters. It's not anti-consumer, Sony owns the rights, that's the way it is.
I'm convinced Microsoft are the ones afraid. They're quick to announce everything typically while Sony has a plan. I think you're decieved by Microsoft thinking that they have a game plan but Microsoft's business history has proven they wait to see what others do copy their strategy but quick to reveal initial hardware, every time. Microsoft are waiting on Sony, Sony have a plan and a strategy to time their hardware as they know what their release stock will be. You're try...
I hate timed exclusives altogether. Seal the deal, alltogether, if you want it on PS5, convince developers why like you did with the PSOne and PS2. Back then, developers understood honor and loyalty, they lost that with DLC. Sony had to spend years building trust and helping developers succeed in their platform, and Microsoft comes along and just opens up their wallet and now everything's a mess, they didn't earn Rockstar or Squares support, they bought it, Sony had to work hard and M...
So Microsoft DID cancel the game, not Platinum. I guess fans could write Sony as well.
You clearly don't see how this is going to affect you. Game Pass games come and go. Developers are also making a few cents a game off of Game Pass. They know something we don't which is why they're wanting to jack up the price for everyone else. On Xbox it comes with the subscription but on PS4 it's going to cost $69.99. So tell me, if you were a developer and you developed for game for Xbox and you made $.25 off of every download, because Game Pass is under $10/MN and game de...
Interesting. I know there's been a lot of rumor and fuss that Spider-Man would only be in the PS4 version of this game and that the Xbox community is upset about it. But, there you have it. Sony have had the rights to Spider-Man since I can remember and have obviously taken really good care of him in making sure he's best represented and technology is used in productions to best tell that story. It shows what Sony can do and their studios strengths in telling his stories and stories i...
Well, rumor has it that Sony bought the IP from Konami and this is a focus on third-party development. Sony first-party developers are moving onto or have been working on PS5 games, Ghost of Tsushima was PS4's final major game. So, if rumors are true then nope.
They're learning from Microsoft. Microsoft have blown it, twice, so Sony are making sure everyone's not scrambling to see the event and miss a pre-order window. (Which actually has me a bit concerned. You'd think knowing their console will be this big again that they'd make sure there will be plenty of console manufactured to rake in plenty of cash at launch, but they've said nothing. Usually Sony will state that they plan on having plenty of consoles manufactured for rele...
It makes sense.
@ RamRodd88. Don't know if I fully agree. Microsoft are a services company, that's where they make their money. If you playing your game on Steam, then you're not using Xbox Live. Sony makes their money off of online gaming. It also goes against the whole point of Xbox Game Pass. How do you sell Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass (subscription services) if you're selling full price on Steam? Gabe Newell has just shown he's a relic, he's living in the past. So you do an incre...
Yup, the next gen console wars are on. Microsoft are publishing their games in cooperation with Valve, and Gabe Newell came out griping even though Sony built a PC, but Gabe Newell has really old fashioned thinking. Microsoft built a box with more power, typical, Sony and Nintendo diversify. And in the other corner it looks like Sony are teaming up with Epic Games as Epic seem to be strongly backing PS5. Let the games begin
Microsoft has always been a PC company, they're software, it's where they should stay.
I know considering Microsoft are so anti-couch co-op, that's usually Nintendo territory while Microsoft has to sell you Xbox Live.
So far you're off to a bad start, youve taken sides as a third-party developer, why you quit making hardware, remember? So, you need to get Switch and PS4 versions out pronto, were adults, we're not stupid, we know Microsoft bought you off, don't treat us like kids.
Bytheway, I want this game on a disc that has the option of 4-player couch co-op like the GameCube version that allows me to play the game, even after the servers shut down, it doesn't have to be...
It's not PlayStations mascot. Universal opted to sell their assets and the rest is history. Crash has appeared on competing consoles, and Microsoft loves it but you haven't seen Mario or Master Chief on PlayStation or Nintendo hardware, though is was rumored at one point The Master Chief Collection was going to launch on the Switch just to try and invade enemy territory to build up hype for Halo Infinite only for consumers to then realize if they wanted to play the new game they had t...
Personally, I'm of the opinion that if a game has a single-player mode, burn this on the disc and release it as a physical copy and save precious disc space. If there's a multiplayer component to the game or the game is online only, make it downloadable. This also gives choice as to what consumers want on valuable SSD space that's getting more expensive and space is at a premium. I was able to load all my PS3 games installed on a single 1 TB HDD but games now require you to instal...
We don't need E3 anymore. The Press can't be trusted anymore. Maybe they're not corporately bought off, but are driven by hype and public pressure. Look at what happened recently with The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima. (But don't get me wrong, the original The Last of Us on PS3 was a technical showcase and a masterpiece as was the Uncharted series) but Ghost of Tsushima is outselling The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog got too political and you see long before the ...
Um... Microsoft started timed exclusives to combat Sony when all Microsoft had was pockets, Sony spent decades building relationships with developers through hard work and strategy, and suddenly Microsoft comes along and offers money and everything Sony built and established disappeared, no honor, no loyalty. Microsoft did it to themselves and when it no longer works, they find excuses and then act like ir doesn't matter. Cuphead was timed exclusive, Phantasy Star Online 2 is timed. Don...
