Fake. Ubisoft officially confirmed it doesn't have any form of lootbox or gambling. Rating infos are never true until games are actually rated by ESRB, PEGI, etc.

It's called a pandemy, and devs working as best as they can in work-from-home conditions + games systems becoming more and more advanced and complex meaning far more bugs than before to track and fix.

She has a degree in writing, and she's been creating, consolidating these relations in this industry by herself. So yeah, get over it. She fought for that job and deserved it.

Cannot wait for this beautiful boxart to be ruined by all the Series X mentions and logos.

Absolutely not. Making you do the things you (can) do in the game is what drives its narrative and why its ending gives sense to those actions. Making you feel this discomfort is the whole point of the game, and I'm glad we could have such an intense experience by actually playing it.

Yes, that's ok. Most AAA games don't reinvent the wheel. A game never needed to reinvent the wheel to be great. The Witcher 3, for instance, brought nothing new in terms of game mechanics, but it made a huge impression thanks to its writing and worldbuilding and is still considered one of this gen's best games.
Origins refreshed the AC formula with better worldbuilding and new combat system, Odyssey pushed it further in a RPG direction, and Valhalla removes the grinding f...

Maybe the day people will realize the % of players actually caring about framerate is "only" a very vocal minority, they'll understand why devs aren't that much willing to push for 60fps. A stable 30fps is absolutely fine, and games like Spiderman, Uncharted 4, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, etc have already demonstrated you can have top-tier gameplay + playability at 30. I'd rather have games pushing further their physics/AI/animation, etc tbh.

I worked in videogame press for years, paid reviews have always been a myth. You receive nice kit press, you're invited in prestigious events, but that's it.
Metacritic has a history of terrible user reviews when it comes to big exclusives, because of the childish war led by consoles fanboys. But in the case of TLOU2, I bet this has also to do with the same idiots delivering hate/homophobic speeches after leaks happened. Some of them actually already confirmed false, and oth...

Imagine being a videogame journalist and not even knowing what "art direction" actually means and involves.

The Share button was the most innovative feature of any game controller this generation. It had a major impact and helped the console selling by giving it a big exposure on social networks + propelled the arrival of photo modes in games. This feature, which is now of course integrated by Xbox and Nintendo.
So, I wouldn't say DualSense is a return to innovation, it "simply" builds on DualShock 4 while bringing new tech.
What's the most exciting about it to m...

Announcing retrocompatibility for older generations would have make no sense during such a conference which is adressed to devs... and devs don't care about older hardwares they are not developing for anymore. So, maybe there's still hope for a public announcement, we'll see.

Any software/firmware programer knows that no matter how much testing & debugging you can apply to your work, there are always going to be edge cases that will pop when software/firmware is made available to a large number of users.
Having many players participating in such beta test is perfectly logical and efficient.

Is it me or CCN always manages to have the worst takes possible on this industry ? Is that their editorial guideline or what ?

Maybe it's also time for some players to accept that reviews are not always as legit as they think they are, most are bashing the game more to "blame" Ubisoft's new live service philosophy than taking an actual objective look at it and what it offers. Plus, the MTX are not half as intrusive as some may claim : you'll only find them in the game's shop, and 99% of sold items are obtainable by playing. No one is forcing you to buy them, and let's not forget only 1, ...

Anyone who has worked, or has been working in game development knows it is indeed an incredibly ambitious and complex project to handle. They deserve lots of credits for that. To say it is the most ambitious game in years, though, is delicate, but one of the most ambitious games in years, definitely.

Team Sonic Racing brings a unique formula and dynamic to the genre, so I don't care if it's "better" or not than Transformed, Mario Kart or else, I just know I won't get the same experience elsewhere. Playing TSR online with friends is a blast.
