I totally agree, its the reason why in the good old G4 days, I loved Judgement day and to this very day despise X-Play
To add X-2 and XII on the golden age list is laughable
I was with this idea, until I saw that all credit is basically due to what people think of you, social standards, etc. In my opinion having one million friends online doesn't make you a gamer. There are solo gamers out there as well. Some who are more hardcore than your typical online/multiplayer gamers. Good luck with your idea, sounds fun. But I wouldn't take it seriously at all.
@Redempteur
That's precisely the reason why I'm not getting it. Most people on here hate these games because they are not up to par with the rest of the classics. For me its more about preference. I loved the original squaresoft FF storylines, and the great character development that came with it. With games like this, I can't get into it without a good story. Otherwise I don't care about the characters. But like I said before to each is own.
You can ask that same question with IGN who gave Final Fantasy XIII an 8.9. Then when XIII-2 comes out, their whole review was on how much better XIII-2 was better than their predecessor. Yet they gave XIII-2 an 8.0
This seems pretty good. I never once doubted Capcom in the Resident Evil department. I didn't like Resident Evil 5 due to it having more action than horror. But when I played the Lost in Nightmares DLC, I was like why can't the whole game be like this. Hopefully RE6 will give me what I wanted. Looking so forward to it.
Umm a lot of these complainers have probably played the demo by now. Just saying
This would definitely be for me, since I found Soulcalibur 1 and 2 to definitely be the best in the series.
I don't want a FFVII remake, as much as the dream makes me tingle. Square Enix has done nothing but disappoint as of late. Pop music has taken over my beloved uematsu classical style, and teenage drama has taken over my beloved deep storylines. We would ask for nothing but updated graphics, but we all know Square Enix would mess up the materia system with the remake. Final Fantasy VII is still great the way it is. I love it, but I will admit its fun to dream of a perfect world where Squar...
Hmm, While I think the 90s was the decade for fighting games, I don't see them leaving anytime soon. Even if a rare event like that did happen. I'll always be a fighting gamer for life. I'll always have my classics with me.
Strongly agree with you, look at Square Enix's track record. Plus I can't imagine playing Final Fantasy VII without Nobuo Uematsu's music who is no longer with them.
So do twilight films, doesn't necessarily mean that they are good. It just means a lot of people of this generation tend to like those storylines, because they did not play the games we have played in the past. Again, I said it was my opinion not fact.
Are JRPG's dying?
In my honest opinion, they've been dead for a good while now.
To be honest the last good JRPG I played was Xenosaga III.
The writing talents for these storylines have become so mediocre to me compared to their predecessors. That is of course just my opinion.
You do realize June only has 30 days right?
Okay, this is one of the reasons why Final Fantasy doesn't look like it will ever claim its glory back. I first noticed it in Final Fantasy X-2 with japanese Pop star Koda Kumi, and now Final Fantasy XIII Leona Lewis. Final Fantasy has always had great classical music. Sephiroth was bad ass, but he wouldn't be as bad as he was with out one winged angel playing for him. Can you imagine watching a Star Wars film with Justin Bieber doing the soundtrack? I don't think so. I know Squar...
The teenage drama from The "Hope" boy, was instead of standing up to Snow. He would talk angrily about how he hates him, but whenever Snow would get near him, he would be all quiet and all of a sudden has nothing to say. Characters like that are the worst in my honest opinion. If you like characters like that, more power to you.
I agree, I think what the author sees as emotion is nothing but teenage drama. I have enough drama to deal with in RL, I don't need to go take on these ridiculous character's drama.
That was always one of main complaints as well. Summons have always meant to give you that extra power needed to win hard battles. The summons in this game were worthless, and the animations of their attacks were dumb as well. Whatever happen to making summons attacks like (Diamond Dust, Mega Flare, and HellFire) deadly as well as beautiful. Sqaure Enix failed yet again...
Ryu Hayabusa, and Ivy easy win.
If there is another DOA, the reactions I've seen on the boards and reviews seemed pretty mixed. So lets only hope for the best.
