And if they went multiplatform, good for them. If they dont, good for them. Its their choice and it should be respected.
"Why Cancer is worse than AIDS and Malaria."
Damn man, its ALL bad. All fanboys are bad.
Blasphemy !
I have cheated on MW2. I did the Spec Ops thing... I know I shouldnt have but I had gotten every other trophy in MW2 legit (see the time stamps) and I just didnt like Spec ops.
I have 17 platinums - only MW2 was hacked. Hell, I'm dedicated enough to get a Platinum on Resistance 2 (10.000 kills) and KZ2 (Elite, honours).
What I feel is that IF Sony is serious about this, the first thing that should be done is to demand a security process from all developers. The only...
Are IW really that bad at programming or are these hackers just too good?
I have no idea how these hacks work so forgive my lack of knowledge
England.
Just sayin'.
Mirrors Edge and Brutal Legend.
Didnt get Dead Space since horror games really arent my forte but still...
Anyway, I put this blame squarely on the Wii. The Wii version of Dead Space sold *9000* copies in its first MONTH. Thats just abysmal... I cant see 3rd party support remaining for the Wii if Nintendo dont try anything to keep it.
I dont mean just his Valve comment - Valve are a great PC company and they're allowed to do what the hell they feel like.
I think Randy is kickass because he keeps commenting on the industry itself. You dont see many developers do that (Jaffe is one of the few). If he thinks somethings off, he speaks out about it. See some earlier interviews with Randy, its the same deal.
Plus, the dude used to be a frekkin *magician*. + 20 cool points to the man.
So what happens to one platform, it concerns me.
I will not be getting MW2 because:
1) Activision and their attitude towards Tim Schafer (I love that guy)
2) Activision and their attitude towards Sony (You need to lower the price !!)
3) Activisions peripheral wet fantasy (Yeah, they need to lower the price but how would you like to buy a 200 dollar plastic turn table?)
4) No server options for the PC
5) Price hike
Thats there. I've be...
I got Borderlands for the PS3 and the connectivity thing has already been patched. Its more about the other market at the time...
This month, I've also bought Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend. I *was* going to buy R&C as well but I'll push it to next month, simply because I dont have the money....
And buying 3 games a month is already pushing it. Most people can only afford one at a time and with Uncharted 2 pretty much being rated as one of the best games of all time... most p...
like The Witcher. That game has done a million + sales all legit. But I digress, its a big risk to make a game only for the PC. If you're not lucky of if the genre isnt too popular... your game will sink.
For Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 --> Those games are coming off the back of very very very awesome and successful franchises. You *know* they will be a success.
If you say you are going to do something, you stand by your word. I say I wont buy this game and I wont buy this game.
I cant get people who say "But I alone cant make a difference !". It doesnt matter about a difference or not, its about being true to your principles.
Cant do numbers that big so early. Hell, GTA: SA worked with a *massive* install base.
I can see MW2 selling around 10 mill for the full year... unfortunately, I wont be one of the people buying it. I'll most likely get it used 4 - 5 months from now.
Like DMC4, the PS3 version of Bayonetta will end up selling more. Still, quite frankly, unless the differences are glaring, I dont think most people will care. I'm no technofile, I cant tell the difference between 60 FPS or 50 FPS --> I just like a good game.
Since I have great respect for the creators and am sure Bayonetta is a great game but... nobody find it weird that out of the 10 or so games ever receiving a perfect score from Famitsu, half of them have been released in 08/09?
Either we are living in a golden age or Famitsu is getting lax with whom it gives a perfect score.
Thats a good announcement.
You just cant be saying that with a straight face. I got Killzone 2 on launch, played the hell out of it. The serves were down the first month? Thats a blatant lie.
I've also been gaming up Gears 2 the past month. The matchmaking system is so messed up - connecting me to players from Korea and Australia and so on. Massive lag - that shouldnt happen on a service you pay for. Paying good money for.
To be honest, I'm only playing on Live since I got it free for a ...
I think the article is quite well written.
Usually when you get these rage articles, they just spout out stuff without actually finding the time to back up their statements. This guy uses ad examples, comparisons, the whole shebang. Kudos to the guy.
And I cant wait to play the full game.
One thing though - I dont think this game was supposed to cash in on the movie success of Batman. In a recent interview Mark Hamill did say he signed up for the Joker before he'd even seen Heath Ledgers take on the role - the game was in the making before The Dark Knight was a success.
This game though, I feel the devs have really dug deep into the Batman Universe.
I mean, have they just given up on Europe and said; "Eh... if a few suckers buy it at that price, our gain. If they dont buy it, its not a loss."
Holy sheeeet..... I just cant see people paying so much
