With the signs of pre-orders already going through the roofs for Killzone 2 (and we still have slightly under 4 weeks left until launch) I don't think KZ2 will disappoint commercially for Sony.
I understand that any additional publicity never hurts (well, it would certainly hurt Sony's wallet), this won't be the difference between commercial success and failure for KZ2.

I've never played DMC2 because that got totally bashed by nearly EVERYONE. DMC4 on PS3 was alright, but the repetitive boss fights and back-tracking kind of took away from the game.
But none of the DMC sequels could recapture that magic and intense atmosphere that the Original Devil May Cry possessed.
To save money I would only recommend the original DMC and DMC 3 to curious, frugal gamers.
But just like some normal discremenatory d*ck-headed kid, if you claim "defeat" and admit Killzone 2 defied the odds and is going to killzown all the haters in the gaming industry, you think something bad is going to happen to you like your genitals are going to fall off. They gave no slack to Resistance 2 having a SP that was around 9-10 hours (WTF do they expect? 20-30 hours? It isn't an RPG like Oblivion) and now the same crap is happening to Killzone 2 (In some cases, overall KZ2 is Killzowning all the haters in its reviews).
Oh well. Good enough. The multiplayer will make up for it by providing 15,000-20,000 hours of gameplay time.
