Skyrim's age isn't really relevant, saying it's 5 years old is a redundancy when 'mods' keep the visuals up to date. Same can be said for Half-Life 2 or any modern game.

Maybe it'll give some late-life to the system. Hardware sales could fluctuate, but software will continue to decline, unless Sony sees it as an opportunity to revitalize it (IF sales are impressive from homebrew market)

If they fail with NX, they're pretty much doomed, 'Gloom and Doom articles' are permitted at that point.
