They all listen to money. I think the keyword here is "only." MS ignored their core fans in favor of their future vision for more money. Just so happens that Sony decided to play the guys this time. A smart choice.
I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up if they dropped the price.
I know it's probably not an easy option, but they'll have no choice once PS4 and X1 releases.
Wow, marked for trolling. I will no longer state my opinion on this website. I just lost two bubbles for stating my opinion.
MS basically lied for months and then sees how everything is playing out. They see the numbers and don't hear the gamers. So, no. Everyone not a fanboy seen MS's direction before Xbox one was even announce. I've never owned an Xbox, and MS did nothing to convince me, instead they showed that they will ignore core gamers for casual success.
Pachter finally guessed right.
Xbox one won't work out of the box. You have to download the day patch up. They're rushing it out.
This change is for MS, not gamers. Sales predictions drove their decision not gamers voice like they're claiming.
lol, You have got to love Sony. Nice and easy.
@ LOGICWINS,
Spin, spin and then spin some more. MS will lose install base after all of this. Worst console reveal ever and first impression is more important than you would like to admit. And you failed to realise that the Xbox fanbase is mostly that "hardcore minority."
Great title lol.
on topic: This does make MS look bad after the reveal. With them desperately pushing for an all digital online console, only to fail and rethink due to negative reactions from gamers and retailers. MS know they got away with a lot with the 360. With rrod, inferior hardware and charging a fee for free apps and multiplayer. They tried to take it a bit further with Xbox one. They failed. MS don't understand It's core fanbase and hopefully they lose bad t...
"While we are adding in the ability to use physical discs, we still believe in the power of a digital and cloud-powered future played out at launch and rolled out over time,"
Straight from MS. Don't be so quick to support them.
Well me personally I won't be supporting MS. They tried to persuade me with shill, lies and paid content. I won't being supporting them this gen, maybe the next gen If I see a great enough change. They have a whole gen to convince me. MS changed under pressure of the competition, retailers, pre-orders and poll predictions. They continued to lie and ignore gamers until they no longer could.
"It is a seriously great day. For not only Xbox gamers, but for all gamers."
I won't forget the people like on here endlessly defending MS doing nothing to help. Thanks to those actually voted on polls, forums and with their wallets.
I told people that MS and publishers NEEDED Sony on board to succeed. MS tried one last trick at E3, games and exclusive deals with some publishers. It seems they failed, now they're trying to patch up the bleeding. Is it too late is yet to be determined. Some gamers have lost confidence in them, rightfully so. They lied and lied, but I'm happy they changed it even with some blind followers.
Edit: Now MS will have this Image of being deceitful and evil. I'm sure ...
His he in the game or not? This is getting weird.
*grabs popcorn* This should be good.
No matter how well or bad MS does, bottom line is they will lose potential customers. Always online wasn't a smart move at all. 10 or 30 percent, doesn't matter, MS should be aiming to expand the Xbox experience, not limit it. Xbox one doesn't make sense from a business or consumer standpoint.
I hope not. I wasn't a fan of the different stories/characters in bbs. I couldn't really get attached to all the characters because of their different focuses. I think it would be better if they only focus on one this time. It would keep me interested unlike bbs characters.
Back to some FFXIV ARR beta. I'm level 18 right now. I'm going to be so sad when it's time to reset. :(
